That's too rich for me. I've already spent close to $45K for mine. I can mod the sh*t out of it for another $20K and still have a kick ass car.

Exactly. And, you'll have the option to pick / choose what you want, specific to the driving conditions you want, and if you get it done right you'll smoke the Zl1 into the ground., while the driver wondering what just happened.

Four groups on here:

1. Those that want the car but are in denial about the pricing. Hoping its going to be under 50K and well worth the money for what the ZL1 offers
2. Those that don't want the car and are in denial about the pricing. Justifying their desire to not get the car by saying the pricing will be $70K+
3. Those that want the car no matter what the price is
4. Those that have an SS now and can't see trading it in so soon.

does that sum it up? Did I miss any groups?

funny thing is, 1 & 2 (I am in group 1) really have no clue what the pricing will be and any rumors are most likely BS.

You forgot one group. The ones that already have Camaro's and don't have intentions of buying a ZL1 regardless of what's in it or how much it costs.

^What about those that want the car but will have to wait until they get funding...aka not getting a '12?

I might also be in subcategory 4 but that won't stop me from getting a zl1.

If you build a GT500 with ALL the toys it is close on 75K in Canada, with taxes.
I have some interest but the "out the door price" is likely going to be at LEAST eighty grand up here (we have a 15% sales tax). I really can't imagine spending 80K on a Camaro, but you never know.

It seem like no matter where the car is made or how high our dollar is floating at, we can NOT get par pricing with you guys.

Not sure. If I do, it will be used. I'm sure a redesigned Camaro will be out by then so I may go with a non ZL1 if I like the new Camaro better.

I will hold on to my Canuckistan money and hopefully find a US dealer that wants my money. There's no way I'm paying $75 grand for one. That's getting into 1 year old Z06 money

Ummmm.... stop watching Fox news network dude. The CDN $1 is currently valued at $1.05 US. Unless, the US has changed mathematics that means to purchase $1 CDN with American currency it would cost $1.05 US (plus exhchange fees) to purchase $1 CDN. Get it?
