22's or 24's

I did both. I have a set of 24s for the summer and a set of 22" factory replicas staggered. I have noticed my 24s do ride a bit better over bumps but the ride is about equal. Most people didn’t even realize they are 24s because the camaro has a large wheel well. I have lowered the car as well so the 22s now have a nice tuck. i will post pics of both so you can judge. I dont understand what all the fuss is about with large wheel on a camaro. this car was meant to be an evolution of the classic camaro. The traditionalist can go their way. large wheels are true to the concept and the car was designed to accommodate them so go for it bro, the conservatives will always have an opinion i say "buy a car that no one can afford to screw up" lol.. until then see you at the meets

I was in the same position as you OP. It took me a while to figure out which I wanted and then I went with 22s. Main reason was I live in Jacksonville Fl, and my car is my daily driver, with that being said we have speed bumps and humps all over my destination. I was afraid of rubbing so I went with 22s, without a drop, reason is my neighborhood has those giant speed humps and I barely make it over doing under 5mph.
In the end it's all up to you, I personally love the look of both 24s and 22s, and I also think anything over 24s doesn't look right.
Here is some pictures of my staggered 22s Status Knight 5 rims painted to match my car, riding of 295/35/22 rears with a 22X9.5 and 265/30/22 on front with 22X10.5.
I LOVE IT, and as someone here mentioned I get plenty of attention with this car, and I do go 70-80mph on regular basis with no problem, and I don't need to go any faster on public roads. .
To all very nice rims .

Sweet. I'm selling my GSXR if you know anyone that is looking for one. $8k with all the mods. I'm going to buy myself an MV Agusta for Christmas.

Then you and OP don't have post on a public internet forum....

don't come on a forum asking for opinions, and then bash the guy right back.

Some 22s can pull of the look, but it looks too big for the body, and there is absolutely no point in the power under the hood with wheels with that diameter.

LOL Yes, indeed. So much to love about this car. But 22's just make it look silly. 24's...

But that's my opinion. Obviously, with all the huge wheels on all kinds of vehicles these days, it's a fad that many like.

I don't see it because it overwhelms the car. Like those oversize ball caps with the huge bills, I guess some need that attention. "If I tilt it, then keep the hologram visible, I'll look badass!" Nah, you still look foolish.

So many things today are derived from "da hood" including large wagon wheels that do nothing except add weight. Hey, it's your money.

Just throw on some curb feelers and a gold grill and it'll be complete.

My advice to the OP: Don't put either 22's or 24's on.

I don't see where he says, "hey, people that have these sized rims on their camaro, how's the ride because I'm still undecided?"

I'm sure there are plenty of people on here who have been in these cars that have 22 or 24's or possibly had them on theirs and then went back to a stock size or smaller. Just because they don't have that size on their car doesn't mean they don't know what they're talking about or can't give an opinion to a post on a PUBLIC FORUM

Also, to answer everyone's claim about performance vs. appearance, I think I can safely say that "most" owners who are in the 24's or higher have V6's so I'm going to go out on a limb and say they don't care about the performance aspect/potential loss, just the look of the car...here are a few from this thread alone (not trying to call out anyone, just stating the facts so the performance vs. appearance thing can end)

SSboy87: 2LT (OP looking for answers)
DraggnFrameGMC: LT (24's)
DJ UNKNOWN: LT/RS (not exactly sure but defending 24's like crazy)
Im_Fly_Like_A_V6: LT (22's, getting 24's)
zkdreads: LS (24's)
INthat305: LT (24's)

i still got my stock 18s so i can go back to those if i wanted too. im pretty much neutral as far as it goes with what rims you put on a camaro. my rule of thumb is if it wasnt made to fit then dont put them on.(for example 26s-30's)
