Well........ a new update for you guy's!!
I am going to be putting the new 6 Speed Sequential Gear system in the stock TR-6060 Transmission case made by PPG
I have not decided if I am going to put a paddle shift system in it or just leave as the kit comes with the sequential shifter.

I hope to have completed by the middle of February.

You are making me jelly. I really want to add a Z/28 to put next to my blue bucket. Quality set up. Must be fun out there.also that tranny will be lots of fun. I thought about a dog ear t56 for a bit. I went with a tr6060 with zr1 5th and 6th. Plenty fun.

The car will be doing 12-15 days a year in NASA TT2...along with a number of test days ( got a comp license, dont need to run with a club to get track time )

Just incredible. Please post details as this progresses; I've been on the fence regarding modifying my Z/28 -- but your project may push me over the edge...

Holy Mother of God!!!

JD was nice enough to give me a ride today, and the phrase above is the mlldest (and most printable) of all the exclamations that flowed from my mouth.

This is one of the most extreme street-legal cars I've ever ridden in. A couple of things distinguish what JD has done here:

1. The engine spins up incredibly quickly. Removing all that fliywheel weight means you blip the throttle and it responds. The throttle reponse is ferocious.
2. The acceleration of this car -- from 50 to 150 -- is truly epic. The stock engine, though nice, runs out of steam after 6,000 rpm. The JD Edition pulls like a freight train to redline.
3. Those two things alone mean that this car is going to be an abolute beast on-track. Add in the wider tires, rear suspension mods, and sequential shifter -- along with a very skilled driver -- and this Z/28 is going to piss off a LOT of Ferrari, Porsche, and McLaren owners. I can't wait to see what this thing will do at COTA.

Nice work, JD -- nice work!

This build makes me look like an amateur who has barely any knowledge and enthusiasm into cars.

Killer build - any video of this beast accelerating on the street? Curious to see how fast this thing revs.
