Sucks that you had to pay out. I thought areomotive and autometer was willing to take the products back at no cost to you since they couldn't fix it?

Aeromotive is taking the pump and controller back. Its the time my shop spent trying to get it to work that cost money. We tried every possible option talking with Aeromotive for hours on the phone making sure all wiring was perfect.

Aeromotive determined it was the tach signal that was the problem so we removed it completely and ran a vacuum hobbs switch to the speed controller. Everyone was sure this would work.....well it didnt.

Time to go a different route.

Well, unfortunately we are pulling the pump and speed controller. Aeromotive insists something is wrong with my car and not their "system".

Its funny cause the times where we ran the eliminator pump as "stand alone" with the controller and tach adapter completely removed, the issues was not present. This was on at least 10 runs on the dyno and more than that on the street (my car fried the bearings on the dyno BTW).

I would gladly run the pump like this but was assured that the pump would not last. I was even willing to take the A1000 in exchange since that can be run with out the controller but, my future power will exceed this.

Aeromotive said a return authorization was not a problem so they are indeed a stand up company. I am keeping all the other Aeromotive parts, fuel filter, Y block, fittings, LS7 rails, pro series regulator, lines etc.

As do I, between the pump and the controller and time, I'm afraid to add it all up...

I wonder if they will take mine back... They never offered...

It's funny how many 5th Gen Camaro owners have something "wrong" with their car... I can certainly deduce that if you sell ten systems and nine of them fail, it's not the car...

That a1000 wouldn't last either bull I've known many a man on the side of the road running a a1000 on the street. I just don't understand how the speed controller can be giving you the same PCM failure since it's not hooked to a sensor or the coil anymore with the Hobbs switch I must be missing something. Either way I'm sure Andy with squash will make you happy he is great to deal with.

Apparently, the car and issue became more reliable with the Hobbs switch. it would no do it as you rolled into the throttle (basically get on it). But would do it when pushing in repeatedly on the throttle when at low rpm. Basically pumping the pedal at low rpm and high gear.

It was better but it should not do that!

With all this testing I have bigger issues now....

I feel for you Bull... It's not fun when things don't work as advertised. I'm afraid to ask what your other issues are! You fried the bearings to what?

Alright, i have the Squash system headed my way. Andy sent me the install instructions via email. Step 18 on the harness install says to disable the factory FSCM in the tune since the FSCM is removed completely from the car and runnning return style.

This is not 100% yet, but my tuner says he did not remove the FSCM from the tune so the PCM/ECM still think therre is a physical factory FSCM in the car. SNLs tuner will check to see later today.

So, one computer is looking for another computer that is supposed to be there (because it is still in the tune) but there is no fuel computer to be found. I think this may be the whole issue.

Snl is having their tuner come in and remove it via hp tuners. My tuner uses EFI live but says he should be able to go in and remove it....anyone know if this is for sure?

I wont know if this is the issue for a couple weeks as there is no way to check it... car is not driveable as of now.

I am going to stick with the eliminator and see if this resolves it. If it does great! I have a back up awesome fuel setup standing by (Squash) if it doesnt.

Experts what is your take on this FSCM not being removed from the tune.

I'm certainly not an expert, but if the ECM is trying to talk to a FPCM that isn't there I can definitely see it causing problems.

Should not be a problem whatsoever, I've been going between HP Tuners and EFI Live no issues

My car toasted the bearings on the DynoComm dyno. So they had to beat on it on the street to trouble shoot after that. Lets just say the 700rwtq wreaks havoc on parts....not my HKE motor however!!!!!!!!!
