Earnhardt Friday at Phoenix International Raceway:
IS THE NEW (SEMA) CAMARO GOING TO GO INTO PRODUCTION? “Yeah, I’m excited to get an opportunity to have one and I think it’s a good looking car. It was a lot of fun to go over, it was sort of what we did with the truck when we were going to go into production with it so we can actually buy them but they didn’t sell the truck which I was disappointed in. I was very happy with the ideas they had. I like the blue Camaro too. I was looking at that. It’s rather out of my price range but I’m very happy with how it turned out.” HOW MUCH INFLUENCE DID YOU HAVE? “A lot. I went to the design center and we sat down and went through probably 15 different ideas on just paint schemes, designs and then we went through colors and then we went into the interior and looked at the little ways we could kind of neaten up the interior and make it more unique. We had more limited options in what we could change in the drive train but we changed some stuff and made it pretty interesting.” |

So does anyone know if this appearance package will be for sale at introduction? I love the ground effects and the dovetail. My SS must have these.

Has there been ANY word on price for the Grille? And will it be available body color or only gray like the GFX. I love the grille (just as I do the GFX) but wouldn't get it unless it was chrome-look or body color(preferred).

The lower grill now looks out of place from the GMPP grill... GM will have to come up with a matching piece for the lower valance...

I'm sure aftermarket grills will be available about 3 days after the cars hit the streets

The lower grille looked out of place on the stock SS to begin with. I actually think with the Accessory Grille it's not quite as unsightly as with the stock grille.

Just got back from Phoenix, I was headed over to the Chevy setup to look at the Corvette, I figured it would just be all the same cars that they had at Atlanta two weeks ago. Out of the corner of my eye I noticed something white and gray through the crowd and was almost in shock when I realized what it was, the Dale Jr. Camaro. I got some pictures of it for you guys but there was a pretty big crowd the whole time so I couldn't get any wider shots, and then when I went back during the race when I figured there'd be less people, the Camaro was long gone already.
Just realized I can't upload them yet, I'm not on my home PC and the files off my camera are too big, anyone want to resize for me? |
