One of the biggest things is a quick discussion!!! This gives everyone a chance to make plans, vendors, spectators, and participants! I was at CamaroFest II and it was an amazing event, hell, every CamaroFest has been an amazing event. It would just be really nice if it could be spread around a little more! Back in the day, the California section was by far the biggest and most active section of the forum. To this day we still have some of the most active driving groups, we sell out every autocross in the area and the list of vendors in the local area is incredible! Like one of the other guys mentioned, it's very hard to drive to the other coast and none of us want to be at a CamaroFest without our cars!!!

All I really want to say is: PLEASE Share the Love!!!

Pretty sure Fest II had the most vendors and I'm looking you up for your list when we make it back West.

This has sort of always been the plan and one of the good things about this thread is it definitely validates BG as one of those slots.

And if we decided to go out West, I'd sure hope we had the turnout we'd need to justify it. Like Allan said, for Fest 2, we had a crap ton of people come from Texas. The Cali showing was not that great. Why? I have no idea. If we go back, would Cali double their numbers? It would have to. Or the Fest out there would fail and we'd never go back there again. See...while we all want to get together for the good time, parking lot parties, and racing fun, the racing fun MUST be paid for. Ultimately, if we can't bring in the money to rent the track, we simply can't go to the particular location. So we'd need everyones participation for sure.

For everyone that wants to return to Bowling Green, there is an event there every year called LS Fest, you can show up in numbers if you like the venue that much....just sayin

Oh, we've got to have a road course. This first time was a learning experience. Lack of instructors caused issues and it was raining. Other than that, ask people who raced. They loved it. I've already been talking to Danny for next time we go to BG for the track. And if we elsewhere next year, I'd like to have a track so we can road course it. I'm not into 1/4 mile. Autocross is fun but is over way too fast. Road tracks are 20 min to 25 min of racing. What do I want to do? Exactly.

Got to have a road course!
That road course was the best thing I've done in my car! Wherever the fest may end up being, if there is a road course, I'll be on it! That said, if there is no course near the the next fest, I'll still be there.

One thing I liked about the c5fest in Bowling Green compared to LSfest is it wasnt so crowded. LSfest is huge on the amount of people and cars. A ton of people go to LSfest, a ton. People have to park all the way to the edge of the property line almost.

LS Fest is great fun. They used to run a class for 5th Generation Camaros & it was great. Any 5th Gen could run including us V6ers. They will no longer be running a class for 5th Gen so it will still be a great event for the V8 crowd but no longer for us V6ers.

I will forever have bragging rights that the last year they ran the 5th gen class I beat a V8 heads up (we were both dialed in at 14.0) to finish in the money (mind you just a little money but still...). I ran with the big dogs & won. (to me that is a win for sure). I had a blast & made it through at least one round most years.

Like I mentioned above. Track prep was on us not Beech Bend.

There will be a cruise somewhere if we go back. Many many routes available.
Ok so if we go back I would love to see a Camaro Cruse maybe even a police escorted one as well.
