Wow!! That should inspire a few LS drivers out there. That car looks like a million dollars. Nice job.

This. Easy and fun project. Sand the rings with a fine grid sandpaper. Wipe off the dust with a damp rag and let dry. Spray 3 coats of krylon paint allowing for proper drying time each time. You should be able to find a color really close to your factory paint. Then 2 coats of clear coat. Pop back on, nice clean look.

Im ultimately going to replace mine with aftermarket, but the above has gotten me through the first year of ownership. Ive actually gotten a lot of compliments on mine, the rings are painted white.

You can also paint your bowties, darken the tail lights, paint the tail light bezels, which are all cheap and easy to do yourself.

Do you got rally stripes? I personally find the matte black (not gloss) to look really nice on those Cyber Grey or whatever they are called now. A bit more money, but can really add to the look overall. Tint is a must!

I've still got the same 245/55R18 tires, just went to an 18x8.5 Forgestar F14:

The big benefit of the LS is the money you save being able to go into mods. Not everyone will want to go with a high contrast white rim, but they're underrated.

I ended up having my pick of every available color in 1LS and 2LS models. I drove the 1LS first then the 2LS. I liked the manual transmission in the 1LS better, since it is a 6cyl. I was able to get the performance I wanted. So I picked an Ashen Grey Metallic 1LS.

No, to my point. I LOVE the car, but it seems to missing something. All I can think of is it has the standard black rally wheels. Maybe its the "pop" of the "nicer" wheels. To me, it seems the stance is different. Is there a difference or am I crazy?

Those wheels are killing the car, man. That and it could use some highlights in that darker color.

Everyone agrees you need to improve the wheels.

If you want to turns some heads I would add some splashes of color. With your gray car, deep red or light blue would be a good match.

You can get kits to change the color of your "bowties". That would be an easy start.

Adding chrome trim is a good way to give your car a finished look.

Good luck,

I have decided the first thing I get (after tag which is around $1000) will be wheels (I found some stock RS wheels and tires in my town for $450), then flat black stripes.
