No problem! I don't think we will be because we're in Florida, but if we ever do head that way then we would love to install. If you're going to the Fest this year, we will be installing there. A lot of our customers feel that way too, I believe that a lot of them just go to shops to get it done. Anyway you do it, they'll look great

Also it seems a bit of a hassle to have to reattach the trays when it rains.
We have a 2013 ZL1 with the forward location heat extraction vent, and it is barely functionable. Again, we don't know for sure, but it is a reasonable thought that the more forward they were place the less heat they extracted. We have tested it. Although we might not know for sure how the forward placement will be on your car, we have a pretty good idea.

People forget the ZL1 and new Stingray's vents primary purpose is for reduction of front end lift at high speed, not heat extraction. Heat extraction is just a side benefit. But not as effective for heat extraction as vents designed just for that purpose.

Agreed, somewhat.

The ZL1 has a panel that virtually seals the underside of the engine compartment (the entire underside of the front end back to the transmission actually). This prevents air entering the front grill/ports from going under the car and causing lift. But with the bottom front being sealed, the air flowing into the front grill has to flow someplace or it would simply build pressure in the engine compartment. This is where the ZL1 hood vent comes into play, it relieves that pressure and enables adequate airflow through the front end. So, the ZL1's hood vent works in tandem with its skid plate to prevent lift at higher speeds.

This!! I've been searching for them online. So far I have found some similar, but aren't functional. Attach with 3M tape.
Is there any chance of the Hex Vent guys making vents in this style?

What would the MY14 vents look like farther back to ai heat extraction? And maybe two of them. Photoshop gurus..

I'm not sure which vents you're talking about, but as an engineer I can't bring myself profit from designs created by others, I find it reprehensible. There are vendors that do that almost exclusively for their Camaro offerings, I'm sure they would jump on copying it if there was enough interest.

The design is from the SEMA Hot Wheels Camaro.

Just think its a more aggressive design.

Also I want insinuating you steal another design. Simply showing my true preference. And even your hex vents are 1st generation inspired.
Just giving you some inspiration for possible update to your hex vents.

Yeah I don't think he was insinuating you're gonna rip off anyone's ideas. People do variations on things all the time. I'd love to see the ones he posted, made for my cowl. I don't see how that's stealing anything

the hotwheels ones look good at first glance, but not sure I would want them on my car and see them every day... at least not how they are in the link. sometimes things can be over done
