Have a lifelong friend who is a pilot and a flight instructor. He just chuckles when guys come to the airport for 'Jet Fuel'/AV Gas. He says the octane rating is at 'altitude' with corresponding baro pressures,humidity,temps,etc. I don't know, but we oval track raced alot of years and we always purchased fuel for 'ground' vehicles. Just sayin'-can anyone elaborate? May save OP $'s. If you didn't mean aviation fuel sorry for the post.
