There should be no problems adding that part to any Camaro.

Folks balking at the price act like this is the first time they've seen performance pieces from a dealer. Toyota offered the Supercharger for my 4Runner at a premium price of about $4000. I got mine off Ebay new in the box for $1975 and installed it myself (saved another $700 in labor). All warranties on said parts remained in tact as well as the stock power train warranty. MSRP is NOT what anyone with sense will pay.
I'm not surprised at all by the MSRP prices. Firstly, they are backed by warranty (costs money) secondly they can price them higher because a lot of people will roll them into the loan amortizing the cost over time, and paying interest on them I may add. I've modified just about every vehicle I've ever owned all the way down to my riding lawnmower. Bolting on parts is a cinch so do yourselves a favor and learn to turn wrenches. Use the money you save on more tools to do bigger jobs. It works out really well, and you'll know more about how the car works. Edited to add: Also don't be guinea pigs. Wait to see some dyno runs with these parts. $1000 is a lot to spend to find out you only gain 5HP, or worse, loose 5. |

Upgrade the look and sound of your Camaro’s exhaust system with one of our tuned, emissions-legal bolt-on exhaust kits. They deliver a great performance sound and reduced restriction, which promotes increased power—especially when combined with other performance parts. Our exhaust kits are designed for simple remove-and-replace installation, for a quick and hassle-free changeover.

Umm... WOW... I thought the shorties were going to get expensive but not that much. I know CARB validation costs $$$ and all that, but still. I have full-length QTP High Velocity Merge Collector headers that are polished T304 that aren't that expensive. Even adding what I paid to find their Y-pipe privately is still less expensive. The intake doesn't look all that good, IMVHO; well, the air cleaner box. The intake tube looks great but it just looks like a regular air filter box with the logo molded into it and then splashed some chrome on. I think it's entirely too much for the mufflers too. I can imagine that installation is included with these prices (didn't they indicate that some time ago?) but I'd rather save that and do it all myself - it's not like I couldn't, and save some money. Maybe because they figure you can roll it into financing it wouldn't matter but I'd save that money and either put it toward more goodies or just go aftermarket. I have to say, for the first time, I'm a little suprised and disappointed with these developments. Unless the shorties add 20 RWHP (yeah right), the intake adds 10+, and mufflers another 10, I think I'll pass and wait on some T304 CARB-legal shorties from SLP and the like and go with a Borla or Magnaflow 3-inch catback system when they come out.
WOW! That's just asking way too much. I'm sorry to b*tch, but wow.
