I was late for meetng the other day and was speeding...didn't even see the CHP unit following behind me. He pulls along side of me and mouthed SLOW DOWN and then pulled away. Could have gotten me for speed and tint.

My nephew is an officer in SFO he laughs at the notion and says 'I'm an equal opportunity autograph seeker'.

I am guilty of saying Jealous but i was joking shoulda made that clear lol. My Dad, Unkle, And Father inlaw Were Or still are WV State Troopers. I have a ton of respect for you guys I actually plan on getting in when I get home.

Nothing much really, once was going a bit fast on the interstate and a cop ahead had his lazer out, I wasn't looking out for that but my radar alerted me and I hit the brakes, was still going over but he let it go, idk if he was aiming for someone else or missed me but yeah, it was a close one.

I don't know if its my car or what...

Every sunday we have a car meet in town and when I leave around 11 (usually) there is always the same cop, same place, waiting for me to leave. Now I don't want to toot my own horn but I leave first because of where I park. So as I pull out he always immediately pulls out right behind me for the majority of the way home while all the rest of my friends spread out across the 4-lane road to watch him follow me...its a game to them.

The cop knows about the car meet and how many cars are there, and has "given us warnings" in case we were to be stupid, the problem is why does he follow me EVERY time? I've even tried leaving after a couple of my friends...he waits every time.

Next time your leaving, pull up to him with your windows down, hands visible (as per other inputs same thread) and introduce yourself to him. "Hey man, how you doing? It's a beautiful car isn't it?" Smile, then drive away. Make him aware you realize you have been sort of singled out. Maybe he is just trying to figure you out. Once he realizes that following you is a dead end street, he will leave you alone.

This option might not work.. or maybe it'll get you a little respect from a guy who in the end, you WANT on your side.

I tell him where it is, like "it's in my back pocket. Is it OK if I get it?" That way he knows what you are reaching for and where. It takes a lot of the nervousness out of the situation and usually makes the stop go a lot better.
