BODY LINES ,WOW , where i came from they say that a woman's body looks like a well built guitar , so now the camaro lines [to me ] look like a well shaped woman ,specifically the rear fenders looking from the front at low angle !!!

I was the son of the manager of several Chevy dealers in Socal for most of my childhood. So naturally I loved cars, especially the Camaro.

When the concept came out, it was like....yah, that's the one I NEED to buy!

All it took was some patience, and a new job, and bam! Got my new 1LT RS.

The styling makes a difference, it's probably the best looking Camaro every built. It is truly what the Camaro is all about. The design team deserves a huge f'n raise!

design, cost per hp, mpg rating (better than challenger SRT8)

Those were my top 3 reasons. If the challenger had been anywhere close to the Camaro perfomance wise for the price, I'd have gotten that though because I truly want a 1970 Cuda and that's the next best thing. I just couldn't justify spending $45k for a slower car with worse mileage unfortunately. And the whole fact that I truly believed Chrysler was going under. But it looks like they'll be OK.

I am beyond happy with my choice though. The Camaro does have a far better modern design. I love the old school look of the Challenger, but the Camaro looks new, while it has ties to its past.

Always been a GM guy since my dad worked for Chevy growing up. Back then they got demo vehicles and although most were trucks, he would get the occasional Camaro or Corvette. I started with an 86 Corvette but had to get 4 seats once kids came along. First drive of my 95 Z28 and I was sold. Didn't handle quite as well as the vette but was way faster. I was very disappointed when they discontinued the Camaro and totally stoked when I saw the first Gen 5 concept images. The tranny finally gave up in my 95 so I went down to the local dealership that morning and got the new 2011 1SS/RS. I couldn't be more pleased with this car. Super fast, handles like a champ, and the styling is flat out awesome. I love it.

Transformers definitely grabbed my attention, and against all that I know as a Jap car tech I did some homework. At 6'3" and 275 I'm a big dude, so I sat in one last June and was amazed at the room. Figured not buying first year made some sense plus let me save bigger dp. The car just screams don't f*** with me coming or going.
She is asleep for the winter, but come Apr 1 she will rise again.

Design, but mostly wanted an LS engined performance car. Plus it has more room in the engine bay compared to my 99 SS.

The only daily driver I ever owned was my 98 Camaro, and I knew I would be needing a new car in a few years when the Transformers movie came out. During the movie, I told my husband, I'm getting that car.

The wait seemed like forever, and with the Check Engine light always coming on in my old car, I wasn't sure if it was going to make it. It got to the point were fixing the car would have cost more than the car was worth. By the time we traded in the 98, the windows no longer when up or down, the wiper fluid didn't work, the check engine light was there just for mood lighting, all four rims were bent (a couple super bad pot holes), which made for a nice ride, and the transmission was going. But I wasn't getting anything fixed. I was going to drive that car till it died.

I almost bought a Challenger, because I didn't think the 98 was going to make it, but the new ones, don't drive like the 70 challenger that I shared with my brothers when I was a kid. It was more like a tank. So I waited and waited, and I made it. I was able to get a Transformer Edition of the Camaro, and trust me. The wait was worth it.

the natural choice

My (unreplaceable) 2002 Trans Am WS6 was stolen last summer, the Camaro was the natural choice. But I still miss the TA.
