It says these are preproduction cars so are they assigned the first VIN numbers and do they eventually make it to a dealer? If not what happens with these.

AFAIK all bodies are painted like this. I have a friend who does part time collision work and I have never seen "glossy finish" paint on something that wasn't exterior. Think of the engine bays in all the cars you've owned. Are they glossy?

No, the metal should still have a base coat.

A friend of mine saw the Camaro at the Houston auto show and said it was a major disappointment as the interior looked cheap and sections of the paint did not match. I know Chevy is trying to keep the coast down but I hope they know what they are doing or I'll just hang on to my fast truck.
