Try dealing directly with Vince...

something else to the hand held offers, is the ability to store multiple tunes on it. it's just easier than using a lap top.. Not that a lap top is that cumbersome.. I agree with Kevin there...

But it's nice to leave my tuner in the car....

that aside,

You guys are right to be voicing what you want from the vendors...

seems to me like you all want the same thing just different flavors...

I appreciate the frustration you guys must have.

FWIW.

f that. mine's aggressive as a mofo! lmao!

I don't get the fact that someone, or some people need to tell other v6er's that we are wasting our time. TELLING US that we are bashing trifecta. when in fact, none of that has happened.

Look, people can believe what they want, but to push it on others as facts for no apparent reason is bullsh!t. You tired of it? LEAVE!

Diablo said they didn't want to continue, fine. they aren't the only one. Trifecta pushed through and came out with a tune. I fail to see why everything needs to stop just because there's one option. companies can change their mind. it has happened a time or two. they could see how trifecta is doing and decide, hey, lets start up again....

Hey, you want to beat your head to a bloody pulp, be my guest! :bangdesk:

I have been behind the scenes enough to know, yeah, you are wasting your time...

If you want me to allow folks to spread false hope... well then I guess I could do that... but think about all the shops there were going to offer a turbo kit or supercharger if there was "enough interest". LOL

Honestly I have no skin in the game... I'm mainly trying to explain how things really work in the aftermarket world...

i am in no way banging my head on anything. I am all up for getting trifecta, but if there's a thread about people interesting in another option, i'm going to voice up.

Trifecta didn't seem to waste their time, did they? if you guys really felt that way, then trifecta should have also felt that way, and just gave up. but they didn't. which means what? that another company can do the exact same thing...

dude,

throttle back a bit.

no one is saying you have to accept trifecta. but they are saying that as of now it's the only option. if you want to hold out for something else more power to you... if you want to raise awareness for more options than trifecta great. you should continue to do so.

And the guys who like trifecta should also accept that it isn't gonna work for everyone.

I don't see why this has to be an all or nothing issue...

right now the only option is Trifecta. if you want something else then you're gonna have to wait. And you would be right to do so.

You need to look at Trifecta's business model, one guy who does it all vs the other companies that have a much larger staff, hence much larger overhead. These bigger companies simply can't afford to put the resources into a product that would have such a very limited potential customer base.

i wish others viewed this situation like you do. but obviously there are others that are telling us they want us to stop...

Vince probably did it in his spare time... probably enjoyed the challenge... Diablo, HP Tuner, etc. have to pay their developers... Again, it boils down to the very different business models...

Yeah, unless you deal with Vince directly, you do not have a say in this. I tuned my friend's car... since i have the cable, Vince says if me or my friend need a change in the tune, to let him know. He won't charge extra. Good guy, knows how to run a business, that's for sure.

well...isn't that what these kinds of threads are for? for people to show interest and potential? It has to start somewhere, right? I mean, if no one did anything, we'd never get anywhere. Correct me if i'm wrong.

I agree,

you've decided that you want more options so you are gonna hold off on trifecta.

Fair enough.

if no other options present themselves then you may have to reconsider.

No problem with that logic at all.

I think the trifecta supporters are simply doing what we all do which is defend the vendors we like and who have taken care of us...

Doesn't mean that you should change your stance on the issue.

Until then, I would settle for just a timing interface. HSW sells an interface that could have been tied to the arming switch for the nitrous system, and I ordered it,.... had the damn thing in my hands... and figured out that their claims were wrong , and the MAF harness was incorrect. I went back to website and rechecked it, and they still push it a compatible for the " gen 5 v6 " Man I thought my problems were solved, but nooo.... so now I wait, again!
