something to "nosh" on..............

When we unveiled the 35th anniversary Camaro at "Camaros at Carlisle" wayyyyyyy back in the summer of 2001..........

People at the show seemed to really love it......(all except for one older woman who was SIMPLY SURE that we'd make the 35th in the image of a 1969 Camaro........)

People kept coming up to me at the banquet afterward (a coupe and convert were on the patio outside the ballroom) -- and complimenting me on how great they looked - people kept going out and staring at them -- walking around them........

I was on cloud nine...............

....................and then I went back to the room at Midnight and logged onto the sites.

From the reaction on some sites, you'd think that 'Mom' Settlemire had given birth to me out of wedlock................we (GM) were accused of everything just short of the Lindberg baby kidnapping...................

The world as we know it was about to come to an end!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One of the complaints was "I HATE THE WHITE STRIPES"

(.........ooooooookay, they weren't white - they were silver......)

As I have said at least eleventybillion times ---

(....all in unison now

"Wait until you see it in person before passing on final judgement"

And for those of you who 'pine' for the Camaro Shield........look closely at the emblem..........

Now - get on a plane - get behind the wheel - climb aboard a train.........

And get to Camaro5fest!

Steering wheel fail.

I like my "dish" shaped wheel.

I'm just glad there's a 45th year for the Camaro. Thank you for bringing it back. Guess that's what's important. My .02

Just make the ZL1 steering wheel standard on all models.
It looks better than the old wheel, or this 'new' one.

So the new spoiler will be standard on all Camaro's, and the RS taillights are standard. That leaves just the headlights and roof moldings as RS exclusives?
I think the anniversary car looks good. Can't wait to see Carbon Flash in person.
I am curious about one thing. the current issue of Motor Trend , in the ZL1 article, reports that all Camaro's get retuned suspension with "50% less understeer".

Unless GM says so I'd say that's just speculation.

Anyone else notice that it's an RS & all the lights are lit together. I'd like to know if that means that it has true fog lights now or if the did some kind of DRL mod like the "Fieldgoal" harness. Perhaps Fbodfather can shine some light on this subject, please. Overall thought the car looks pretty sweet. Nice to see the tri-bar emblem making a return to action.

Not a fan of the rally stripes, and I think they could have done better on the 45 emblem, but the red white and blue stitching looks cool. all the 2012 upgrades sound cool.........like the back up camera

the one in these pictures looks like the ZL1 wheel to me, minus the ZL1 name on the bottom.
