My wife's cousin is the manager at a Discount Tire here and he got me some in about a week. Took an extra day for fronts. I had them put on my son's car yesterday (with new wheels) and loved them on the drive home. Very nice ride.

Sound like your son was better than me growing up!

You got one lucky kid. I was rolling in a 88' Honda Civic DX through high school and part of college. I think it had something like 98HP, no AC, no power windows, no power locks, nothing. But I still miss that car today!

He is a great kid. Never been in trouble once. I have never received a call from a teacher, principal, parent or anyone about something he has done. He works hard at school and baseball and has goals and stays focused on them. He is getting academic scholarship offers already and will probably get some athletic money as well. Yes he is a lucky kid but I feel like a lucky parent as well.

I drove a 72 Beetle in high school and loved it. Might still have it as a toy if i hadn't run a red light one night and destroyed it shorlty after i graduated.

I paid a little over $1000 out the door. But that was with insurance on them. I wanted him to have it since he will be going away to college soon. I think Tire Rack was a better price.

Tire rack is cheapest I've seen. $800 shipped or about $870 with insurance.

Off with the Pirelli's and on with the General G-Max AS-03

After 30K miles it was time to replace my original front Pirelli's and 2nd set of rear Pirelli's. I did a ton of research and went with General G-Max AS-03 from tirerack.com.

The price, shipping time and recommended installer list (which I used) were excellent.

Wondering the same thing i had some of the General UHPs and was like daylight and dark switching to the Contis but this is on my Avalon not on a Camaro. .. I dont have my Camaro yet just doing reseach. I am waiting until my Avalon dies or hits 300k miles. I told my wife that when the Avalon gets to 300k i am draining the oil and redlinging the hell out of it until it blows. My milage is at 280k but i put over 30k miles per year on her.

Your prerogative, but why kill a perfectly running automobile? Are you from the .gov here to collect another clunker?

Getting two of these put on the rear of my SS tomorrow morning. My stock rear p-zeros are worn out. Hope I like the way it rides after getting them. Very anxious to see what kind of longevity I get out of them!

Hi all...
So l'm consideing buying a set of these and l wanted to ask everone that has purchased these a question about tread ware. I am hoping some of you have a tire depth gauge so you can answer this question....

Just wanted to know how many miles have you put on the tires and how much tread have you used?
I am hoping a few of you respond so we can get some kind of avg (since some of us drive with a heaver foot)....

Thanks to all that respond....
