Constraints change weekly and any orders actually submitted that week need to conform to the constraints, otherwise they will be passed over, in a sense the dealer loses their spot if they submit a car that does not meet constraints, whether it is a stock or a sold order. So on a sold order, the customer may have to make a change to their order to get it placed or else the dealer would order a different car and the customer waits until their order is free of constraints. Also, constrained doesn't necessarily mean they are building 0, it just means that production is limited (though it could be 0). The last couple weeks several V6 models have been on constraint, so if your order made it through and you have an event code beyond 1100, consider yourself fortunate.

I have a 2LT/RS on order and it has benn pulled (2-19-2009), and I should be delievered by the first two weeks of April. I am/was the first to order from the Dealership in El Centro, CA. and I will be the first one here with this Great Car.

Where did you get your information? I'm not saying you're wrong, but alot of pretty reputable people on here have said that all V-6's are on constraint EXCEPT the dealer showroom cars. I believe they have also shown proof of this. Like I said, I'm not calling you a liar, just wondering if your info is more credible than the others. Have you actually seen anything that says your order was pulled or are you just taking your dealer's word for it?

My Information comes from "fbodfather," all of the information that he has put out has been 100 percent TRUE. So if you do not believe me, believe Him.

Ok, I'm in.

So you have a direct line to God, huh? Didn't know he owned a dealership. All we're asking is what your event code is since we have yet to confirm that any SRE V6 has achieved or passed the 3000 level.

It sounds like you know your stuff. But -- if WCoolBreeze's V6 WAS pulled, doesn't that imply that GM is so incompetent that they can't work their own ordering system?

Oh, that's good, trm, and got me a new sig!!!!!

I'd say the direct line is nonexistent, so another case of interpreting fbodfather's vague statement(s) for personal (V6) gain....unless there's proof?

I spoke to my dealer and had him double check on the constraint issue. The constraint is both on STOCK and SOLD cars. So I really don't believe anyone's V6 went through, and if you say it did, prove it.

"fbodfather" posted the information here on camaro5 and this is where I read it. Check prior posts from him and you will find it. He is on the Team that worked on and developed the Camaro and he recently exchanged the company G-8 he had for an SS Camaro. I also believe what my dealer has told me since this is the second car I will be getting from Direct Auto Plaza/Desert Auto Plaza. If after the 15th of April I am still waiting for my 2LT/RS, I will eat my words and say I am sorry to the board. If what I have been told is true I will be posting the pictures of my New 2LT/RS. I have Faith in the people who have been working on this car and I hope that I will not be disappointed by the person I am dealing/working with on getting my car. If you do not believe what others or I have written so be it, that is your problem and not mine.

LOL, you think i don't know who scott it? You're crazy. I've met him, he gave me a ride in the red camaro at indy, he is also a great guy.

I've read the post that you speak of, it was vague, and he said that he wanted us all collectively as a group to be in our camaros as soon as possible. He really did not specify anything about the constraint, so don't put words in his mouth.

Ive talked to a dealer on this forum, and he said both were on constraint, and i called my dealer and he said both were on constraint.

Call and get your event code, and settle this for good. Otherwise i don't believe you.

The REAL question is: how many Camaros was the dealer allocated -- and how many 'sold' orders did he/she take?
I don't know if this helps or not, but my order is in and it's a V6 and I'm #3 and my dealer said I should be pulled for April.

As far as I'm concerned this is the final word on the matter. Sent by GM to RPO-Z28's dealership. See full thread here http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=14664
