Many guys have claimed 14.0 bone stock in their V6 manuals but unfortunately no one has posted a slip. All Im saying is that a manual V6, which the OP has, is not a full second behind a GT at all. And a modded one? Forget it! Op has full exhaust and a tune! Using my car as a benchmark, Id bet that would bring me down up to .4 tenths. Add in the intake, probably another tenth. Its not uncommon for gears to knock anywhere from .1 to .4 tenths off time. But we can safely say it will do .2 tenths for the OP. I also know lightweight 18s with radials would drop me from 14.1 to 13.7 alone. If he gets the 18s and can drive as well as an average driver like me, the car has the potential to run 13.0. 14.2 - 0.5 (18s+tires) -0.5 (exhaust, intake, tune), 0.2 (gears) = ~13.0 I dont think my math is wrong, basing my guesses off previous 1/4 runs and personal experience with 3.5/3.6L V6 engines. OP as you can see 18s + some radials are going to make or break you. You could still pick up about .3 tenths with just 18s without radials though. |

I'm still amazed how delusional some of you are...
So my full exhaust tuned cai SS can beat a z06? I mean the z06 only has about 100hp on me and only weighs like 600lbs less... but I'm sure since we are all being bench racing ricers here my SS could totally take out the z06. |

So your time was corrected? That's a bit different then running a 14.1. And people claim shit like that all the time, on any forum, doesn't mean it's true. An a manual camaro v-6, yes that's a 14.3 to 14.4 second car, roughly 1 second behind a 2010 gt. Now with your math, you're saying that the swtich to 18s, is gonna provide said camaro v-6 to run 5 tenths quicker? To put it in perspective, if it was running against an equally modded camaro v-6 with the other rims, it would be 5 CAR LENGTHS faster? No I don't think so. 5 tenths quicker from a catback, intake and tune? Possibly, but I'm not sure the 3 will give a combined 50 hp. Gears? 1 or 2 tenths for sure. At best, with your math (revised for realism of course) is gonna be around 6, maybe 7 tenths quicker, at best. Car's gonna run 13.7, maybe 13.6 (2-3 tenths behind a 2010 gt). EDIT- I didn't see that you added in drag radials, if the op isn't getting drag radials, I'd say he's gonna get a tenth and a half from the wheels and regular tires (not quite a full 2 car lengths). |

And he has headers to go with that cat back. .5 tenths off from full bolt ons + a tune on a 14 second car is actually a bit conservative IMO. But .5 tenths, definitely. Like I said the radials are key, with them it COULD run a 13.0, without, probably closer to 13.4. Regardless its definitely a drivers race IF he ditches the 21s. With the 21s Id estimate 13.7, maybe 13.8. |

Stop with all this ricer talk and go race them already so you can see that the s197 is going to win.
my god these vs forums have turned into a huge ricer fest of what ifs and this gives me this much in the 1/4 mile. Ricers. |

Not everything is about horsepower, ricer. Go to hondacivic.com and bench race all you want thinking you are fast. The GT has more torque than you, will get up off the line faster, and weighs less. There is a reason the z06 with 4xx rwhp can beat cars with with 100 more rwhp... WEIGHT. Get it through your head. Go race one, I dare you. A good driver will drag you hard and leave you crying wishing you'd of bought a v8. |

You are the definition of a text book ricer. Reason I hate that GM made the buying of this car so appealing to everyone, including closet ricers. In the old days with a big ole v8 you didn't get this constant crap of "my less displacement with this and that and this crossed with this will beat that." |

Speaking from experience (and owning one) the 2010 GT will beat you with a good driver. Those giant wheels you have are no good for racing. If you become serious about racing I would put 17s on the rear wheels (with some fat drag radials) and put on some narrow front wheels/tires. And a supercharger.
