Ok, first the car is her's !

We were watching Transformers and she saw the new Camaro and said " oh my GOD what is that car ?!" I told her it was the new Camaro concept car and the next day we were in our Chevy dealer asking about it .... she just had to have one. She has asked my advice on some of the gearhead stuff, but other than that she has made all the choices, including the LS3 and six speed, after all, it is her car. Don't get me wrong, I will get to drive the car, but it is hers.

As to the time I spend on this site ? She loves it. I'm able to keep her up to speed on what's going on with her car without her having to do any of the work herself... lol. I show her all the cool pics and video, and keep her in the loop with all the latest news . She was able to call our dealer on Friday to find out what is going on with our order, we are #1 at our dealership and still have not heard anything ... and when she started to get the runaround she was able to school him pretty well, he was very surprised that she was so well informed, better informed than he was in fact ! Thank you Camaro5 !

It's easy really. Buy her something and she will let you buy yourself something. I bought her that 09' Focus she wanted and now I can get the 2010 2SS/RS Camaro I wanted. Easy!!!

I'm a wife and I owe two. a 68 being restored hot rod and I ordered the SS2 to match my classic and my husband pays for both and he loves the camaro too.

My gf is as excited about it as I am. She texts me whenever she sees CTF cars on the road. Also has a Camaro foldout she got at NAIAS taped to her door in her room.

She's awesome.

That is a true statement, believe it or not. I was talking to her about buying another Corvette and she said why would you do that when you could buy a new Camaro instead?

I hadn't thought a whole lot about it, i must admit, but then I went to Boston and saw one in person.....And then I stated thinking, that might not be such a bad idea after all. Besides who needs TWO C6 Corvttes! LOL!

So I ordered a 2SS/RS in Aqua Blue and am patiently waiting until all my customer orders are filled and then I will get mine.

And I must admit it is FUN to give the call to customers and tell them "We have an allocation for you. Yours is going to production!" That is one great call to make. It's like giving kids christmas presents everytime I get to call!

it was a battle at first ... but she's come around, it's tough when you have five other vehicles she doesn't drive ...and then start slowly working her that your getting another that she won't be driving either,

it's too bad the 2SS's don't come in automatic.

She has been wearing a lot of orange lately.... I keep telling her we need some Hooters shorts and she can pose with the car.

The battle isnt over the car we both know we are holding out for a vert & top of the line its which cars are going to go that way we can afford it & how long we have to wait until we get it.

Guys,
thi is a little off the subject but I had a few questions if some of ya'll could answer to help me and the other new guys out. First of all I found a dealer that has 3 left out of 16 to order. I will be ordering a Black on Black 2SS/RS. I will not pick up until early December. These are some of the questions:
1) When I go into the dealership will they give me a ticket with the complete total on it? 2) I was reading in the forums about a packet that you get after you order so you can track the progress. Is this true, who sends it to you and how long before you get it. 3) Will ordering the Hurst shifter delay my order and is there any other add ons that would delay the order? Most of you guys out there would have these answers. Just want to know the process so the dealership and myself are on the same page.

1. Depending on the dealer, they may or may not give you a total at this time. Since you missed the window for pre-ordering and don't have price "protection", they may or may not tell you when the price is.

2. The welcome kit was for pre-orders only and pre-ordering ended yesterday.

3. Yes. I would leave the Hurst shifter off your order until you hear more information on its status.

Does that answer everything for you?
