There was a wealthier 90 something year old in Myrtle Beach that was at Palmetto Chevrolet a few years ago that was picking up like his 8th Corvette!

He owned several SS Camaros and Vettes. It put a smile on my face to see someone that old, still loving sports cars rather than putting in his dentures and watching Judge Wapner and Price is Right all day for a hobby.

You are never too old!

Angry How Old?

After talking with two local Chevy dealers yesterday and learning about the limited amount of orders they'll be allowed....................I'm wondering just HOW OLD I will be if I ever manage to latch onto a 2010 Camaro. Perhaps I'll find a dealer that will give preference to the elderly!

never too old

You're never too old for a Camaro. I've owned 2 1970 Z28s (still have the original) a 1979 Z28, 1981 Z28, 1982 Z28, and a 1999 SS. I have on order (November 2008) a Black 2SS 6 sp AND a Victory Red 2SS 6 sp, both stuck on code 3000. So, you see, you're never too old for your toys, you can just afford more of them! Now if Chevy could just deliver them.......

Anyway -- she drives a 2002 Camaro with T-tops -- Red/Silver stripes and
35th Anniversary Badges with "ES" (her initials) rather than SS (MY initials...)

I'm ordering her an IOM 2LT/RS --

......I WAS concerned about visibility for her -- and suggested that perhaps she'd be happier with a CTS or perhaps an Impala SS.

She retorted: "THOSE are OLD LADY cars!!!!

far may it be for me to upset her..........

YOU ARE NEVER TOO OLD FOR A CAMARO!!!

God Bless your Mom, Scott. I just lost my Grandmother back in March and she was 86. I LOVE to hear and see people of their generation who do not act or feel their age. Living life to the fullest holds no age limit, and if you are physically able to enjoy life like you were 30, by all means do it.

I say live by this quote i hear a while back. . .

"I want to live a old man's life but die a young man's death."

What I take from that is, do what you want . . . you're 71. . . live your life man. . . enjoy every last minute.

I would think that by 71 you would have learned to say "to hell with what other people think, I'm gonna do what I want!". Well, that and "Get off my lawn, you damned kids!".

Enjoy the Camaro for me. I'm young and broke and can't have one.

I all for it too...I say get an Inferno Orange or Rally Yellow 2SS/RS with rally stripes and aftermarket exhaust to really add to the "that guy is awesome" factor.
