If you're referencing the 'Fast List' times let's not forget that those are NOT the norm. And some are NOT perfectly stock. Racing is all about bending the rules anyway.

the thing I find the funniest about this is not that the 12.5 is a little disapointing but the fact that the ford faithful someone how consider this an embarrasing time.

yet they think there cars are awsome and yet run the smae times out of the gate in a review. 12.4 is the best review time I have ever seen for the current GT500 and that car is awesome and the ZL-1 sucks. ha ha.

this is one data point time will tell if chevy overhyped the 1/4 time or if this car just needs some break in time/ tweeks.

First I will apologize for misspelling as I just had eye surgery and can barely read right now.

From what I have gathered this is a auto car that ran a 12.1 with a 1.81 60 on a 20inch radial. Granted the auto is suppose to be faster than the manual to 60mph, but Im sure that is traction limited. I am wondering how much the torque convertor on the auto is holding the car back out of the hole. While the manual you can launch it to the hearts desire or parts breaking.

I would like to see a manual car with the same radial setup and see what it can do. With trap speed the car should dip into the high elevens.

I think people thought that 11's were a lock on DR's. I know I did and maybe still once the car breaks in.

honestly I think that 11s are pretty much a lock with a manual car. I dont have the data to look at how hard the auto is hitting the car. Its not like the car has a transbrake on it. But radials can be tricky as well, what will the car do with a set of slicks? Whats the smallest rim that will fit over the brakes so you have the tallest side wall to absorb shock and really launch the car. The car should be able to pull 1.7-5 60ft if hit hard.

Hell my 10 year old cobra with the stock IRS pulls 1.49 60s on slicks. I think theres alot left in the zl1 even with the auto. I think this just brings people heads out of the clouds and the trolls something to jump at.
