I'm in one of those weird situations where this is the dream car for BOTH me and the wife.. when people ask "who's car is it really, I still say OURS".

She loves to drive it as much as I do..

That being said, we have different driving styles. And although we didn't have to compromise on the color/options/V8 engine, we did have to compromise on the Auto/Manual.

Originally, I wanted a manual. She wanted an automatic. I thought it was nice that the auto has the tap-shift ability. My commute has a lot of stop and go traffic and the automatic is just nice to not have to worry about shifting.

I do put it into tap-shift mode when I want to have fun though.

I plan on doing a CAI and cat-back system to restore those lost horses I'm missing from getting a L99 engine.. but the whole L99 vs. LS3 argument is not one that I feel like I'm on the wrong side of the fence about.

Besides, the auto has remote start, the manual doesn't. And with the "tap-shift" controls, you can drive an auto like a manual. That's what sold me on the auto trans.
ROFLMAO !!!

I know you were born that way.

Auto for me and had an auto in my C6 LS3. You guys are fooling yourselves if you think there's a huge difference in motors (sorry to burst bubbles). Heck I can't even think of any top tier sports cars that still offer manual as a primary option.

Maybe not so much the motors, but there's definitely a huge difference in drivability. When I was doing the ride and drive event, the automatic 2010 Camaro SS had a noticable delay between stomping the gas and the car taking off. I just recently got to drive a manual SS and holy cow the difference was night and day -- the pedal actually responds as you press it and the car feels so much faster too (perception because of the faster throttle response).

That's true but get a trans tune and it's a whole new game. Nobody can shift as fast or accurate as a computer.
