Just left the dyno place. What a F#{|( show it was this time... The intake appears to make power around the realm of the original prototype, but I've got to sit down and go over the run files before I can put a number to it.

The freakin pickup for the spark plug wire crapped out, so they had to use an optical sensor for rpm off the balancer and the hood had to be left open because of this. I was not happy. Then the *KID* they had running the dyno was the worst operator EVER! No throttle control what so ever, just hammer down... Even forgot to turn off the dyno brake and chirped the tires on the rollers...

Logging didn't go so hot either, I managed to get 1 run logged on my intake, 2 with the stock intake and none with the stock intake and power wedge...

I should have computer access in a couple hours when I get to my friends house where I am staying I'll try to get some graphs up.

On the plus side, the fuel economy on the way up was amazing... DIC read 28.0 mpg pulling into the parking lot of the dyno place. Mostly cruising 70 on the hwy. The previous best with the stock intake was 25.2, and previous best with the OG prototype intake was 26.2...

Nice on the fuel economy. Hope you can sort the numbers out and hope they gave you a big discount. I would have had a panic attack if it was my car in their hands.

Surprisingly with the hood up the numbers weren't any better than last time with the hood closed for either intake. They were both in the same realm as last time. In my mind that confirms this intake is at least as good or slightly better than the original prototype gains.

Had I thought this would happen I would have brought parts from the dyno at home. Would have been an easy fix with parts on hand.

Graph to follow once I go through what they sent me.

Sounds like the last time I was at the dyno. Was testing some cams for someone and had mechanical/electrical failures and was a wash on the testing.
Just roll with the punches....

This may have already been asked but does this intake need a tune?

No it does not require a tune.

This has just been a problematic day. I made it to where I was going, but the Internet isn't working... Currently trouble shooting it trying to make it go.

Finished off the tank of gas at 26.4 mpg, which included 11.5 dyno pulls...

Those are great numbers.
