Go to the local newspaper, TV station and radio station, and tell them, a good reporter wanting to make a name will run with it.

Guys and Gals!!

I'm seeing this "GM can't do anything to the dealer" too much now. GM chooses NOT to do anything, thats their OUT so they don't get involved. GM may hide behind the color of "franchise" laws BUT those franchise laws can help them too. They could make life REAL hard on a dealer IF IF IF they wanted to.

This is so wrong, all this poor dealer is trying to do is make his boy happy. Maybe you could make a deal and after his boy has had this kicks with it for awhile you might be able to buy it from him...

GM can't hide behind the fact that "they can't do anything", the dealers represent & sell their product, they (GM) have to care. Keep flooding them with e-mails and phone calls, until they get sick of hearing from you. Every time you make a phone call get the person's name you speak to. Then flood every level of government & media source with your complaint, DON'T FORGET TO THROW THE DEALER'S NAME OUT AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE. Spread the situation to everyone you know in your town, and watch the word spread like 'wildfire'. THE MORE BAD PUBLICITY TO SPREAD THE BETTER! SHOW WHO'S BOSS

You would think there is some kinda punishment they could do to
these dealers without breaking any laws....:(

I would never let this go!!!!!! I would bring a friend as a witness to the dealership and have a meeting with the salesman and GM and let them know that you know what they did. Ask them what they are going to do to make it right. Have your friend take notes the whole time. Squeeze them. Tell them it would make a great story for the newspaper or television. DO NOT LET IT GO!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe call the GM 1800 number. Tell the little helpline man your story --it will undoubtably rock GM to it's foundation...probably give you a car outta pure decency

I just emailed the dealer....

Just sent the "Stealership" an email and told them I was thinking of buying a fully loaded Suburban, but after reading how they are treating a valued customer, I will be taking my business elsewhere.
And letting them know that I will be contacting the local media, unless they do the right thing, I will also be telling my co-workers, friends, family, fellow church members, BBB, Masonic Lodge buddies, shooting range buds, golfing partners, GM zone district managers....you get it.

PS Do a search on a thread started by "Old Timer", similar situation and through the magic of media exposure, the decision was reversed.

Keep your eyes & ears open on this one, I predict it's going to hit the media waves, and set precedent. If this hits the media airwaves, it will travel the world like a disease. EVERYONE in the automotive business will be shaking in their boots from this point forward...next time they'll learn how to treat a customer!
