Wow, another raving review for the zl1. Congrats to team Camaro, they seem to have broken the pony car mold and gone a different direction. It seems we have two cars that are world beaters in different aspects, bravo to both camps.

I am a bit concerned however that in only two comparisons, each car has exhibited shifting problems. The gt500 boxing out 2nd and the zl1 missing 3rd on every lap? WTF is going on with these tr6060s?

Let's be honest. Serious road racers wouldn't buy either of these cars.

If you are serious about the 1/4 mile, get a GT500.

If you are serious about road courses, get a Corvette.

This is true. And when that happens, i'm certain that more Ford fans will chime in and try to rub it to the ZL1. I know I won't regret my purchase, once I get both of them. Sorry...dreaming again.

Good question.

It's going to be entertaining to see.

"Road course is all that matters!"

"Drag racing is all that matters!"

I hope everyone that owns these cars can take time away from nitpicking what they don't do quite as well as the competition to enjoy what they each do incredibly well.

Hey...I noticed my post from early this morning is still the last post on the first comparison test. No one posted after that. I wonder if it was because of this thread.

I still feel that GM named these cars incorrectly. This car should be named the Z28 not ZL1.

The Ford guys are probably waiting for the 2nd stage of the testing.

You are right, the 1/4 times will be opposite and the ZL1 will get annihilated on the strip. So I have to rub it in when I can

Uh hello, ask any road racer if 7/10ths is a big deal on such a short course. Run five laps and now we are talking several seconds. So yes, 7/10ths in one lap when your talking about a 2.14 mile course is annihilation. Now get someone in there that can actually shift and its game over.
