Good post vader. We could hot lap 4th gens, and basically did 2-3 runs in a row until I'd see the trans temps get high.

Different story with my 2006 TBSS. I noticed right away that they ran slow when hot. I ran 14.7 off the highway and a string of low 14's until I let it cool for 50 minutes. I then started working my way down to my best stock run of 13.84@99.

Stock my '10 Camaro SS will run 1-2 tenths slower once it got hot (when totally stock).

Tuning the fans is a must for a regular drag racer.

Really wishing now that I'd had a chance to run the '02 before selling :(

I always pop the hood and kill the motor for as long as I possibly can between passes. Just learning about timing pull and such, but I don know the car runs better when it's cool. I'll talk to my tuner about the fans- now it is my daily driver. There is no reason that the fans coming on earlier would be a bad thing in that respect, correct?

My fans have all custom settings and mine is my daily driver, no worries.
