I have a 2011 that was manufactured around February. How can I find out if I go the beefier timing chains?

I have a 2011 I bought in Feb. 2011. I think it was built about 1 week earlier.

I had a post from Steve on Friday night (?) saying on the LY7 which he says has the same timing chain setup as the LLT with tools it could be done in 4.5.to 5 hrs - I would think for timer would be closer to 8 hrs plus. You definitely want to get the cams in the correct phase. In my case, I'll bet $20 I've got the older chains, so the nstall is going to be cleaner if the motor / cradle are dropped - something about being to get up close and personal with your work.

I think that's BEFORE install cost.

For the sake of arguement, isnt that too expensive. Personally I wouldnt go that far on a V6. I rather to consider a V8, or 5.0 GT or SRT.

It's not about v6 or v8. It's about seeing what our v6 is capable of!!

Imo: V8s are done everyday, you can find go fast parts for them anywhere you look.

V6 LLT parts? The developers on the bloody edge such as RX, Mace, Trifecta to name a few are making inroads into history. Pioneers such a Smokey Yunick, Zora Arkus Duntov and Carrol Shelby 50 years ago were able to see potential. The names are different but the determination to do what others say can't be done remains.

Can't speak for anyone else, but I won't trade this For a dozen v8s.

Yep I don't give two squats about getting 450RWHP or whatever out of a V8. That's easy. I am addicted to the crazy insane high winding V6 exhaust note. The SC whistle doesn't hurt either.
