I'm not sure of that but I can definitely see why a person would think that. And I can admit as a high schooler myself I would not trust probably even 25% of the kids at my school with a car like this. But as a 17 year old expecting a camaro, who is not reckless and has done everything expected of me throughout my life, I get offended when people say outright that these kids don't deserve a camaro without even knowing them

And yeah, there may have been a couple 16 year olds that have a mowing business or some other job lined up to save up the cash for one.... but for the most part, you know they are spoiled lil buggers. just hope they respect the car and don't ruin it!

Kids with 400 plus horses think they own the road yes probably. But men with 400 horses also think they own the road. Why else would they get them?

Yes, your right but I'm talking about the Camaros that companies are starting to mod. "Saleen" for example. Those are 70K and above, kind of like limited edition with performance upgrades. Nothing you can't do on your own for around 10K.

It takes 5 or more years to develop the INSTINCT to drive with minimal incident. It really is less skill and more instinct that keeps you safe on the road.

This really pisses me off and always has is that kids nowadays get stuff handed to them. Granted I'm only 19 years old and come from a family that has money but everything I have now I paid for and earned from working since I was 13. My first truck and the car I have now. I'm even paying for my education. Kids that go to the high school I went to are driving Mercedes, Escalades and BMWs that their parents literally gave them. They didn't earn shit and will probably going to get a brand new car when they go to college. So to all the parents on this forum who are buying their kids nice cars for their first car. You aren't doing shit to help them, all that you are teaching them is that in life you don't have to work for a lot and that the rich just get things handed to them. Instead you should be teaching them how to become successful as you did rather than giving them material possessions to shut them up. You aren't doing them anything to service the future.

I'm glad people are buying them, maybe GM will keep on with the R&D on the Camaro, but I have to say the v8 is too much for a 16-17 year old, car is too fast. Anybody remember Hulk Hogan's kid? I bet if Hogan had it to do over with he would have bought his kid a V.W.

yup, i have a son, when hes old enough i will buy him his first car, granted hes doing good in school and at home, but it will be like an old truck or something......if he can take care of that and not have a whole bunch of tickets or accidents through highschool i might consider getting him something nice for graduation......but even then he will have to supply some sort of down payment to go along with what i give him and he will have to make the payments.....from my experience you take care of something alot better when you are the one paying for it.....if its given to you, not so much....
