Couldn't find a good, clean 03-04 Cobra coupe...and the C5 Z06 market seemed overpriced to me. So, due almost completely to my GM employee discount, I went with the Camaro.

Test drove the ff before I decided to get a new '12 SS 45th:
- 2011 Subaru WRX.... quality felt 'cheap' to me especially the interior
- 2011&2 Mustang GT.... I likey but did not pull trigger (see my last statement below)
- 2012 Lexus IS350.... nope.
- 2012 Challenger R/T and 392 SRT.... too bulky for my taste and overpiced IMO

So at the end after I bought the SS... a month later I also got a new '12 Boss 302

Fantasy land would have been an older Ferrari, I had a thing for the Magnum PI car in it's day.

But the Camaro has always been my more realistic "someday" dream, but I am also very grounded in reality. Test drove almost every car under $40,000 with 2 doors in the area. I had done all my research before, so I was prepared to hate the blind spots, and all the other negatives I read about. But once I got behind the wheel, there was no contest, I knew I was hooked. Everything else just faded into background Didn't even make it to Ford after that. I had kept an open mind, but nothing else even rated serious consideration.

I didn't need any more cars, After thinking about the Concept Camaro for about 2 years I decided I wanted one. I just didn't know if I wanted to part with my Sky. In 2009 I decided to order a 2010 Camaro and still keep the Sky, I actually put my order in....Then in April 2009 I was, Ummm Early Retired from my job and had to cancel order. after waiting about 6 months I said what the heck you only live once and told my wife I was putting the Sky up for sale and the day it sells I will go order us a new Camaro. It only took 3 days to sell the Sky and I went down and put in our order for a Rally Yellow 1LT. It was delivered New years eve 2009 and we enjoyed that car for 2 1/2 years until we decided we really missed having a Convertible, so I started looking for one without my wife knowing about it. And here we are today.
All that to just say, I never considered anything other than the Camaro.

That's what the Tracker and Vue are for, Tracker in the snow and carry the dogs in and Vue in other bad weather and when we have to transport other people year around.

I was dead set on getting a Camaro since 2006... It was the only car I would have traded my 05 Monte Carlo for.
