Not hard at all, you can get the filter from advance auto, auto zone. Just be care with the check valve if you mess it up you can get them there too. Simple pull it apart and repair. Can walk you thought it if you decide to replace it.

ok, new question.
anyone running into vacuum leak or sluggish driving while using the breather cap?
sometimes when i tap the throttle theres a lag before it reacts, its happened more than once...and when i rev it up....it revs down real slow.I was at a light when i floored it and the re was a big lag before it took off...almost like a hiccup. any of you have that issue?
also my tailpipes get black the next day after i clean them..

Throttle response can be helped with the aid of a ported throttle body from RX Performance. Contact them for one of those. Do a search, many of us have them and like the added throttle response these provide.

The black tail pipes are normal. These LLT's run rich and they like it that way too. This has been covered in many other threads and seems to be a constant issue. Different fuels weather 87 - 93 octane does not make much difference.

i plan i getting a VMAX TB soon...i also put in premium gas last night and man it seems like she loves it...shes quicker, but then it could all be in my mind. Not gonna worry about the vacuum pressure... i think i just need to clamp off the catch can hoses. and i guess i wont worry about the black tailpipes either!!! thanks a million...HOWEVER i will always check my oil consumption with the breather cap now installed and i will always keep an eye out for timing chain issues....
