But seriously, it's not possible to get all dirt off without agitation. Unless they're using some seriously caustic soaps that will do a lot of damage and way too much water pressure. Even then, I doubt it.

You're right, touchless doesn't cause swirls directly- it can't. What I meant by that was that the dirt they leave behind (I know, you don't believe me) causes swirls when people then try to dry, wax, or otherwise rub on the still dirty car. There's a big difference between looking clean and being clean enough to touch.

Like I said, everyone here paid for their cars and can do whatever they think is best for it. Just thought I'd try to help. This is what I do for a living, so my eye catches more than most, maybe.
I can relate to you 100%. I have a very keen eye after detailing for several years, and sometimes it's a horrible thing to live with lol. OCD around the house isn't so bad because your house doesn't move, but OCD on a car, it's living hell.

It is a curse. Every time I walk up to my car my eye goes to every single imperfection. I've got a door ding on the passenger door and numerous chips from road debris that need to be addressed. All I can see is every little flaw.

But then other people will ask me how I keep my car looking like it just rolled off the showroom floor.
