Dave, maybe a dumb question, but do you know if I can bring different people on Friday Saturday with basically the same ticket? So I buy one super ticket with parking and one normal super ticket, to bring someone with me?

Interested in dinner/cruise as well.

Also folks from outta town, there is a hotel, can't remember the name in Jefferson, ga, and it's like 15-20 min from the track!

Also check out commerce, ga! Lots of hotels there, and some of you might want to head to the dragstrip to watch/participate in test and tune Friday night! Also there are the tanger outlets for the women folk to go shopping!

I would assume that a different person can use the ticket the next day, but I have never gone two days in a row to know for sure. I will ask about it when I talk to them later this week or next.

Camaro Corral

Updated the sign up list today, so thanks to everyone.

Reminder to tell them you are with the Camaro Corral when ordering your tickets..that is the official way they have to count how many we have. We are close to the minimum required, and it is still early.

The Houston Texas Camaro Club just had a Corral at Circuit of Americas in Austin for the Grand Am race this past Saturday, and it looked awesome.

Please PM me if you need any help with a room. I live locally and may be able to help you find a hotel.

Also hotels near the exit to the south of Mall of Georgia (Lawrenceville -Suwanee or Hwy 317) and hotels at Sugarloaf Parkway exit near Discover Mills and Bass Pro Shop.

Camaro Corral

I talked to the Houston Camaro club about their recent corral at the Circuit of Americas Grand Am race, and they are still smiling. They had a great time meeting the drivers and showing them their cars.

I am going to stop by Road Atlanta on Friday and meet Angie and try and go ahead and confirm our own parking spot. I will also see if they have the schedule put together yet, so we will know when the parade lap is going to be. If anyone is going and has not signed up yet, please do so before Friday. In addition, if you have specific questions regarding the track etc., let me know and I will make sure to get the answers while I'm there.

I will post after I meet with Angie on Friday.

Thanks,

David

I may have some news soon on an excursion for the group

Have a hotel for now but looking to change it if possible. Wife and I will be attending both 4/19 and 4/20. Sent Angie an email for tickets this morning. Leaving from Knoxville TN 4/19 around 9am. Add flht99b to the list.

Camaro Corral Update

I met Angie today, and advised that we were almost to 25, even though the ticket sales don't show that many.

She showed me a schedule that Grand Am has out (NOT THE FINAL SCHEDULE), that shows the parade laps taking place on Friday from 5:00 pm- 5:30 pm. There is going to be 5 car corrals (Us, Corvette, Porsche, BMW, and Mazda). The corral parking is really good....we will be between the Vendor section, and the Garage/Pits. Bring your hiking shoes, cause there is a lot of elevation changes at the track.

I also asked her to work on approval for us to have a group photo on the track. No promises, but she said she will ask about it, and I don't see why there would be an issue. There is nothing on the schedule after the parade laps, so we could be the last group out and stop on the track for the photo. I am thinking that coming down the hill to turn 12, with the bridge in the background would be nice. The guy who can approve this is in Sebring this weekend for the 12 hour race, so hopefully we can get confirmation next week.

We will plan on going on a cruise to dinner (possibly Chateau Elan) after the lap (s), so this should work out pretty well.

It would help if those that are coming can go ahead and buy their tickets (remember tell them you are with the Camaro Corral), so they have a record of the numbers.

I will be reaching out to Grand Am next week to see about details regarding the meet and greet, so I will update when I have some additional information.

Thanks to all that have shown interest, and thanks to you guys/girls from Tenn. who are really having to make an effort (time and money) to come to this. Really look forward to meeting you all.

Thanks,

David

Just got back from my first Sebring (I was in the Porsche Corral). My buddy and I immediately wanted to bring our Mustang and Camaro, respectively, to next year's Sebring, when I saw this post! Confirming he will have something to do with his Mustang for this trip, and then we both plan on making the journey up from Columbia, SC. Will PM you when confirmed, I definitely want to be a part of this!!
