She Just Blew as I was grabing second gear. No mis shift. Launch control off.
Shifting at 4500 so wasn't into it that hard. ( Disclaimer...Does have a blower on it. I have been getting flamed for not mentioning that.) but it should have held what I have given it so far. I have been pretty easy on it waiting to get some more miles before I hammer it to hard. Haven't done not a one burn out or Hard launch. Comes a part tomorrow will find out then. I will test her good when I get it back...if the tranny doesn't hold I will have to look for a plan B for a tranny ! No Worries Pay to play..

Service Information Camaro (VIN F)Service Manual | Document ID: 2295976 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- #PIP4666A: Vehicle Will Not Move In Any Gear - (Jun 26, 2009) Subject: Vehicle Will Not Move In Any Gear Models: 2010 Chevrolet Camaro Equipped With The Tremec 6-Speed Manual Transmission RPO M10 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This PI was superseded to change conditions and recommendations. Please discard PIP4666. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI. Condition/Concern: Customer may comment that the vehicle will not move in any gear. Technicians may find the transmission output shaft broken. Recommendation/Instructions: If a vehicle comes into the dealer with the concern described above please contact the General Motors Technical Assistance Center at 1-877-446-8227 (USA) or 1-800-263-7740 (Canada) and follow the prompts to Camaro Action Center and set a TAC case. Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed. GM bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, NOT a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform these technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. They are going to have trouble proving the blower was the cause when there are so many tailshafts broken out there. Hylton Seems to want to blame me... What ever but I didn't break the other 89 that have already been posted on this forum. Like I said If its my fault I will pay but doesn't look that way according to dealer. By Law warranty must stand unless They can prove it was the mod that caused the problem and with so many out there busted That is going to be difficult to do.... Just MHO I still stand by my car and dealer and don't have one bad word to say. So Hylton, Cut me some slack. ![]() Its my car, my issue, and between me and GM what you have against me or my posts I don't know but I know how to drive and I know cars very well...This ain't my first rodeo..... The final Word.....
GM IS SENDING US A TRANS ASSEMBLY (W/UPDATED COMPONENTS) THAT WE SHOULD RECEIVE MON. OR TUES. I WILL TREAT THIS AS A WARRANTY REPAIR DUE TO THIS BEING A KNOWN DEFECT. WE WILL HAVE YOU BACK ON THE ROAD SOON!

While I truly understand GM's issue with mods, I really believe if they have a problem that they know about that they will take care of it, but if the can prove abuse then your SOL. To me it's crazy to yhink you can floor any car and dump the clutch and think it will hold up over a perios of time. For me I will not launch my car until they identify the range of transmissions that are affected, and still may not after that.

As I said in all the other posts same problem with other non blown cars and if it can't take the launch ( Which I didn't do) why does competitive mode Launch control allow you to launch at 4300 or what ever it is( Don't Know cause I haven't tried it) if it can't take it. So Mine has a blower all the others didn't Doesn't someone see the light on this deal thet have an output shaft problem ( Tremec)...They have admitted it even by there own bulletins. Yes, I agree I got a blower on there and if Second gear would have blown or syncro's or rear end...Hey My bad, I write the check. That is not the case it was the output shaft that now over 89 posts on this very forum have had the same issue. This is a tremec problem not a GM problem. GM runs in my veins. I love my car, I recomend it to anybody who asks and that hasn't changed. Just one of those things...If this one doesn't hold up( Tranny) I will find one that does... simple as that. I guarantee you the car hasn't even begun to see the flogging it will see...Thats the bottom line. I bought it to play with, its not a daily driver so, I will Drive like all my other cars HARD but I honnestly have been pretty easy on it compared to what I could have been... I wanted to get things seated a little better before I went Crazy. Anyway...Flame me all you want. I stand by my dealer...I stand BY GM and always will. My bad I pay...no problem with that at all. I personally believe...But what do I Know...That there is just a simple heat treat problem with the output shaft. Stuff happens...I am not blaming GM on this one at all. New car, this stuff just happens. Bottom Line I never said tranny sucks, I never said car sucks, never said GM sucks...Read the posts... Not looking to blame anyone those are your words not mine. If I was going to try and blame someone I wouldn't beat around the bush I would just say it " They Suck" No where have I ever complained. Just trying to help others make informed decisions based on my experience. Why would I let someone else spend 8 grand on a blower if the tranny won't hold, that is the reason for the post. Not to complain. I am not a whinner or a cry baby just trying to help others as they have helped me by posting their experiences on this forum. Hopefully I have done just that....I have no reason to not tell the truth. I also have no reason to post any of this If I wasn't trying to help inform others. Why would I subject myself to all this scrutiny otherwise. I don't need all this crap...I can get it from my wife without all the typing. Just trying to be helpful.
