The only weak point in the LSx engines for years are the pistons and rods everything else could be left alone for serious power. So for ~15k(just a guess) with endless combos on top of a base price of a SS you maybe at or under the base price of a stock GT500. We can go on for days mod VS mod discussion. Just my .02

Impressive to see the Camaro not far back with 114hp difference. I tell you though that GT500 is bad looking but I will still take a Camaro any day!

yes, just look at the trap speed. the problem is hooking up, but once it hooks up, it is gone. making power with that car is no problem.

Yep. The GT500 outpowers the SS for sure. Nice to see another magazine getting 12.9 with the SS, but they sure as hell don't know how to launch/drive with all that power of the GT500. No way should the GT500 come in .1 faster in the 1/4 mile with equal drivers.

ok I saw the short film in my humble estimation the camero still wins cause your saving $$$$ over 50g's for a mustang is just crazy. I'd rather spend it on a Corvette and blow the doors off both the camero and the mustang. The ss has better traction off the jump did u see how those tires on the mustang were bouncing up and down on the initial burnout? Also check the numbers it ain't that much faster to support such a high price tag. advantage chevy
