Unfortunately the Camaros/Firebirds have been overweight for most if not all of their existence. I think weight was one of the biggest reasons the third gen f body was getting beaten by fox body 5.0s in the 80s.

Are you confusing the camaro interior with the mustang interior? No way the Camaros interior is of better quality the the Mustang. I ha a base Mustang GT with the base interior, and a Camaro with premium interior. The Mustangs interior blows the camaro away in interior quality, feel, and touch. The designe of the Camaros interior i think is better, but deffinatly not the quality! Now my Mustang had the base sound system, and though it wasnt ghetto thumping loud, it was ok. Was the premium Audio systme in the Camaro better? Of corse it was, but it to wasnt anything to brag home about, not for the added cost anyways. compaired to other mustangs that i have had with premium audio id say for what you get price wise there both just ok.... |

I traded my 370 for my Callaway and I used to laugh when V6 powered Camaros, Genesis coupes, v6 mustangs and RX8s wanted to play. It wasn't even a sporting competition. I was about dead even with V8 mustangs and Camaros and don't get me started on handling...a 370 owns all of the above unless you put a 1LE kit or Boss Mustang up against it. That's not Road and Track or Car and Driver talking...that's actual interstate and back roads racing. Now the 370 with sport pkg will run in the high 30s so you are talking GT or SS territory...not exactly a fair ''bang for the buck'' comparison.

I have an f body and a 07 g35, I prefer the f body interior over the same year mustang. It's really not that bad. Lol. Though I must say my 99 jeep Cherokee xj was slightly better made and put together.... Chrysler had the least worst interiors of the big 3 in late 90's/early 2000's IMO if that means anything haha

I own a 92 RS V8 and my 2013 V6 2LT RS would kick its butt.
The V8 just sounds better at idle though. lol

It also holds fwd production car record(for one sold in us) at willow springs, VIR, nurburgring, laguna seca. It laps laguna seca just as fast as a new evo x or the old evo. |

When I had my ss/tc I had a downpipe, modified factory intake, and the gm stage 1 upgrade kit. I may or may not have had my intercooler at the time I don't remember. But it made 260 hp 300 tq on the dyno. A turbo back exhaust , intake , intercooler and aftermarket tune could turn that car into something that would eat a stock SS and thats $2000 or less in mods on a car that you could probably pick up for $11000 with under 30k miles. |

You my friend have a lot to learn. i had a cobalt ss/sc and converted it to turbo and i would laugh at a camaro ss if he tried me. a v6 camaro, i wouldn't even waste my time. 2,900lb car with 390whp..... come on, no contest man. the only reason i traded the cobalt for the camaro is because i wanted something more grown up. im pretty much done with racing n' stuff for now. if i was looking to go fast i would pick up a cobalt, nothing beats the face people make when they get beat by one.
