I have to say I did not pay attention to that when I bought mine. I was more worried on how I was going to pay for it and for gas. I don't regret my purchase one bit.

Everyone has their "special option" that they think everyone else wants and therefore it should be standard.
Many cars at a lower price point seem to be missing features. Here for example are a few that are missing from the BASE Cadillac ATS that require you to buy options or an up level package. Remote start Folding rear seat Leather seats Heated Steering Wheel Cooled Seats Adjustable seat cushion angle Back up sensors in the bumper It does have push button start though

So, if you want to compare, Ford actually offers Automatic temperature control and DVD audio in their Mustangs. It's a $2300 option but I can be had for less than $40000 I am sure. MyLink does not even offer a CD player anymore.

Everytime I read requests for luxury features on a camaro my mouth starts to froth a little.
I try to remind myself that my vision of what the car should be does not match that of others. I prefer less crap, lighter, faster. Of course I drive a 2ss vert so I guess that makes me kind of a hypocrit. Next round I am going to find the lightest coup with the least options. '15 stang or '16 camaro

Yet the Camaro has been outselling them for 4 years now. What does that have to say about more features?
Does the Mustang have auto climate control and push button start? Do their owners complain like Camaro owners about it?

No push start button. Maybe they'll catch up too? My last car had that option and I have to say, it was awesome to have it. I did not have to take the key out of my pocket to start it.
You're not going to make me hate my Camaro

The Camaro is an amazing car but it can be better for the money. Now I know why your name is Angrybird.

I actually bought the Camaro because of the simplicity
I have had all the gadgets, and you know what, yes it is more to go wrong.. 2003 Caddy Deville with Dual Zone auto HVAC, damn blend door broke 3 times the first 2 were warranty the last was $600 out of pocket, each with several days at the dealer and new squeaks and rattles after because half the damn dash had to come apart and they dealer didn't put it back right. 2005 300c dual zone auto HVAC, damn blend door again, 4 calibrations in 6 years, PAIN IN THE ASS. 2010 Avalanche tri-zone auto HVAC, worked ok, but I still had to adjust the fans for my comfort level, 97° day HVAC set to 72° and the auto system kept the fans on low and the truck felt like a damn oven. --- And don't get me started on the Craptacular GPS systems and the $200 a year for update discs. The Chrysler had the GPS unit replaced 4 times for it failing and the Avalanche twice in 2 years of ownership, not to mention the idiotic iphone/ipod interface issues on both.. ------- And then we can talk about my wife's Camry and the dual zone HVAC and GPS in that thing, both basically useless again because they just don't work the way you would expect. 100° outside and the fans are blowing on low and the car feels like an oven. -- The Camaro offered simplicity. I can control what I want and how I want.. simple, easy to use, large knobs so I don't have to look away from the road. as for the iphone and plug.. get a phone mount and get over yourself, who the hell cares if it is wireless or not, music thru Bluetooth sounds like ass, I don't give a crap what vehicle you use.. This is my setup, I use the phone for GPS, traffic conditions app, Pandora, Music, it all comes over the radio screen and the HUD, I drop the device in the cradle takes me all of 2 seconds and I go. ![]() The only thing I miss is memory seats and exit slide back.. being disabled these features make entering and exiting the vehicle easier for me, plus not having to find the sweet spot after the detailer or dealer or valet or whomever moves my seat.. but you get over it, I move the seat back when I exit and readjust when I get it, and the behavior is just part of my enter and exit routine, don't even thing about it any more.

I have push button start!!! I push the button on my key fob and a little metal blade pops out. Then I stick that in the little slot behind the steering wheel, twist it a little and the car starts!

My point is there is no perfect car that is equipped to please every owner, you can't please everyone. Cars are built to appeal to a target group. Obviously the Camaro and Mustang target does not include Auto Climate control or push button start. But don't count either out on the next generations of either car.
