Man, I know that if those LT's were sitting in my garage next to the car, I'd be up until the sun came up taking off and putting on until that sucka was DONE.

There's plenty of room....VERY easy....*evil grin*....GO FOR IT.

May start trying to take the factory exhaust off myself but don't have any help to put the new one on. Probably need help putting those headers on so that's why i have to wait a week so my dad can help me and he lives 130 miles away. But he is a gearhead and been a mechanic all his life and is very picky so he's just as excited about getting it on as i am. A little father and son time modding on the maro will be nice. Nothing like getting greasy and having fun and gaining horse power at the the same time!

The only reason this was suggested was because we have found on a variety of vehicles (no specific one) the motor mounts have a slotted hole, therefore there not always in the same position every time. Being this is the first we have herd of the header being close to the steering shaft in this area, this may be the case. The distance that the motor will move is very minimal (1/16 or 1/8") and will not encounter any issues. We will pay attention to this area on the next few installs and would like any feedback.

I want to give a shout out to Bill at Stainlessworks. Last week I took my 2010 ss up to his shop in cleveland and had them install the long tubes along with a complete exhaust system and a set of chambered turbo mufflers. I brought the car home and had my tune man on it the next day and I tell ya what....very damn impressive!!!!!!! That car just came alive it flat out hauls ass now. I had it at the track 3 weeks ago running 13.1 @ 109mph before the tune and exhaust now I can't wait to get back down to run it now!!!! HATS OFF TO STAINLESSWORKS IT'S A TOP NOTCH OUTFIT

Can you post a sound clip of the chambered mufflers? I'm thinking about ordering those for the day to day driving, then swapping back to the turbos when I want the more aggressive sound.

SDF- Hey i would do that for you but i'm clueless when it comes to that stuff. But do this, go to you tube and punch in stainlessworks chambered turbo exhuast/lt headers and they actually made a minute and a half video clip of my car. it's the black w/ silver stripe 1ss and they show it going up and down the road with sound obviously. that will let you get a good idea.
