Ya, seems the stock exhaust wasn't too bad as far as being restrictive, but it sounded really bad on the Dyno until the sound of the engine took over. On a side note has anyone listened to the exhaust offerings from SLP on their web page? Might just be the mic quality, but they sounded terrible.

So I was told by the Corsa folks that their gonna start building the V6 cat backs starting Monday. I don't think any info is on the web yet, but I'd imagine any day now. I look forward to hearing from you guys once you get yours installed.

Ok... yes, the stock mufflers appear to be a straight pipe BUT look at all the holes in the pipe... This is causes a lot of turbulence which is what quiets things down and reduces the flow... at least that's how it was explained to me by one very knowledgeable automotive engineer...

I got a copy of the best stock run vs. the best Corsa run. Notice the power gains throughout the entire RPM range:

New Info......44% increase in airflow

I received some additional info from an engineer at Corsa that I did not previously know. The did a flow test of stock vs. the Corsa Cat-back and it increased flow rate 44%! Sounds like future mods like a cold air intake or less restrictive cats will benefit greatly from the less restrictive Corsa setup.

Thanks for all the great info bond2, keep it up! Could you send me an email with your scanned copies and all that you have? I'd greatly appreciate it, as I'm going to print them out and put them in the front window of the car when we go to car shows

Everything I have is posted in this thread. There is a link to the PDF file of the Dyno run a few posts back, the pdf file will provide a nicer print out. Have fun showing the car off!

Merlin's heading to his first car show tomorrow night since he got his new 'pair' !

Yes, this car is truly magic. Whenever I start him up to go to a show/cruise-in the first song on the radio is always AC/DC's "Big Balls"....

Yes, that's the same set-up. BMC is a bulk purchaser from Corsa so they can offer a nice discount. I have absolutely no regrets about putting the Corsa on my car at all - it sounds great and the car is peppier :-)

I have the Corsa too and love it, my brother got his used from craigslist but I wanted a valid warranty so I got it here. Corsa Exhaust 15211, or you can try one of the sponsors here on the forum, they are allways having sales/specials. Either way its a great exhaust system, sounds great, and very easy to install.
