My fingers are crossed.....this is a great idea. Especially since the results might be in by the time my car shows up

Arrange for a Ford based dyno shop that has no interest in the result, test this. There are tons of Ford-only shops around here so I know one of them could do the test without the bias...
Boy, You Nailed that one, I own and Opertate the largest, Best equipped, staffed and busiest Speed shop in the North East, and because I don't advertise in a Rag, for 2500.00 a month they won't even consider it.

Well Sir, if you sign up for a year at 2500.00 a month we can include you in some of our articles.

I read a lot of the Articles and Shake my head in disbelief.

I would be up for an Unbiased Test, I don't manufacture Cold air kits.

Just get the damn test going lol. I am itching to buy a cai and want to see the results. I like the LMR and the ADM at this time. The LMR has a one piece tube which i do like a lot. The 6061 airbox from ADM is nice also.

We'll gladly place our final design head to head against the competition. It will take a couple of months to finalize it, but I would love for the public to see an even level comparison; we've got nothing to hide. I would like to be present for the event, though.

I agree this is a great idea... there are too many dyno tricks and variables that can manipulate the results. The truth is, none of us know exactly what is being done during the testing.

Make sure it includes:
1. gains on the stock tune
1.5 NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS on stock tune
2. stock car (M6 or A6, just keep it the same car)
3. gains with dyno tune
4. hood open AND hood closed
Why have it tested with the hood open and closed ? I dont see myself EVER driving down the road with my hood open .I mean why test it for a driving condition that will never happen. You might as well get dyno numbers with the car in reverse.

I think the CAIs should be tested at more than one location at the same time using the same parameters monitored by an impartial 3rd party. This would be fair if baseline dynos are done on all the test cars, then measure % gained.

To me...intakes are like shoes...they all do basically the same thing..it's just a matter what style you want. There is more a margin of error betwen dyno runs than there is a difference between most CAI's. It would be like having Usain Bolt test different shoes from Nike, Reebok, or whoever to see which one makes him faster.
