My sacrifice? A potential $35,000 is my sacrifice, simple enough. The matter is how long it will take to save my down payment. (Lmao.)

Probably not much for me, except for buying video games a few times a month I really don't do much for myself. In fact I got to hold off a year or two on the Camaro so I can get some more important financial obligations out of the way. I am single, college educated, and living with my parents so I am hoping just paying for the Camaro will be easy.

I may have to sacrifice my 2001 Z28 that I bought brand new 7 years ago, we'll see. Hopefully not as I would love to have two Camaros in the garage. But there's a strict limit to how much debt I'll take to have this car and if that means using my grandad's old pickup as a DD then ol' Bessie will go on the market (if not to the glue factory).

I have been lurking for several months. What a great time to be in the market for a new muscle car huh?

I was looking at a Challenger but decided to wait until I can see the 2010 Camaro SS in the flesh. I think with a couple of mods I can get this puppy to look exactly as I want it too. I'm really excited and can't wait till next year.

My sacrifice? It's a huge one.

Will I miss it? You bet. But, I am looking for something my whole family can enjoy. The kids are growing and squeezing into the back seat of a 930 is not what I would call an enjoyable experience for them.

Really, after owning it for three years I'm ready for a change. I want more power off the line. The Porsche is nice but you have to be seriously breaking the law to have fun in it. I want something I can roast tires on and leave darkies where I please. Hahahhaha! I have two options. Camaro or Challenger. Mustang? Hell no!

Right now I'd have to give the Camaro the upper hand. I think the aftermarket is going to make a huge difference in my decision. The Camaro, while not perfect has sooooo much potential for mods. I think it's a better car as well. Time will tell. Suffice it to say that once my P-car is sold I will be patiently waiting for the Camaro. Inferno Orange SS/RS manual with Cyber Gray stripes and the orange interior accents. Oh, hell ya!

It's amazing what passed for luxury 20 years ago, but wow you kept it in good shape.

I'm spending a year in Afghanistan. So I'm making more money than back in the states, and I have practically no expenses. I'll be able to make a generous down payment, finance with low monthly payments, and still have some invested and in savings.

paying cash isnt always your best financial decision. i got my GTO when GM was offering 0% APR so paying cash wouldve cost me money i couldve kept in the bank or whatever else i wanted to do with it.

also if your bank is paying more int. on your accts than what GMs APR is youre better off not paying in full.

That would be nice to have 0% APR but extremely doubtful for a 20 year old with hardly any credit yet...i've been saving 20 bucks a day for the past month or so...hopefully i can keep doing that till they release the model with back up detectors...by then i should have a decent amount...and the tC will hopefully be worth something...

but i'm getting that damn SS.

work at this little spot starting at a measly $10/hr but after 6 mos goes to $17/hr
or fed ex full time for exactly 1 year lol which is about 37k/yr

Gonna try to sell my '02 Camaro outright while there's still a market for one. It'll be hard to get a decent down payment out of the '02 for the 2010 though since I still owe $4,000 on it. I'll find a way, even if I have to finance the thing till I die, I WILL have one...making that my mantra from now on...

Wow, you're still paying for a car bought in 2002?? Or you bought it used more recently? In either case, you should get around $18,000 for your Camaro if you're lucky and it is in good condition. A trade in unfortunately will get you less than that (almost half). I found this at carmax which is usually a good estimate as to what price your car should sell at. If you do sell at this price of $18,000, you can pay off what you owe and have a good $14,000 down payment on the new Camaro SS

I'm quite sure your monthly payments would be less than what they are now..
