This is where I'm at.. Light in in and wrapped around and my console removed... Don't know where to go from here.

You can merge all wires together "hot ones" from footwells and other LEDs wanting to connect them run one will re to the cig red wire.

I would also snap the clam shell back on real quick and see how much of the tube actually seeing. You might find not as much as you thought. I could hardly see mine unless at an angle. If not something we'll viewed I didn't want to keep it

Where do I ground all of this too?

Are we sure we tap into the red wire on cig lighter, it seems really thick and tough to tap into

You can tap into any power source. You could even strip with re a bit and tie into. I did that with my footwells already installed in the front. The ones in back I spliced into the red power wire and taped up. Zero issues.
