But I am still happy to see that sales numbers are strong.

Interesting. Spent the day yesterday with a friend who is lifelong Ford owner; dad worked there and unity recently he'd been driving an 01 Cobra. Anyway, he had his Mercedes (1 of 39 ever made) and I had the 1LE and we had all our kids at the pumpkin patch. He was looking at my 2013 taillights and said, "man those are so cool, so Vette like." Then he added, "I don't know what they were thinking with the 2014 taillights ... They look like a 1985 Honda."

I'm happy that the Camaro is a huge seller and extremely successful, so hopefully GM realized their terrible mistake in 2003 and the Camaro will be with us for a long, long time. The biggest sellers should get the best R&D funding, so hopefully the very high initial quality of the car stays, unlike previous generations where initial quality was terrible *cough* 4th gens *cough*. It is clear that the solid build quality of the Camaro has paid for itself many times over and hopefully GM keeps it up.

What I'm sad to see is that the 4th gen refresh made the car less aggressive looking and more plain. The hood is fine, but the addition of the large, plastic bumper, Chevy Volt tail lights and less aggressive nose gives the car a much softer feel and I'm afraid that GM will continue that trend and soften up the 6th gen. With the promise of more power AND weight reduction in the 6th gen, I was initially really excited. However, every "spy shot" I see leaves me more and more disappointed. I'm hoping there is a lot of camouflage going on with the 6th gen and it'll leave us stunned in the end, but I have my worries. GM has a history of ruining great things.

http://www.camaroz28.com/2013-camaro-build-counts/

In 2014, there were:
71,481 V6's
23,200 SS's
2,436 ZL1's
515 Z/28's

In 2013, there were:
62,621 V6's
23,855 SS's
7,956 ZL1's

So, while the production of Camaros overall increased, there was a substantial drop in V8's being produced - and that's with the addition of the Z28, adding an additional V8 to the mix. The growth was in the V6 market. This paints a very different picture of the success of the redesign. The V6's weren't changed as much as the V8's, so it's interesting to see the V8 sales actually dropped while the V6's, which changed a lot less, took off. I'm guessing the performance enthusiasts cared for the redesign a lot less than the grocery-getters.

It seems like the models that changed the least since 2013 was where the boom was, and the more the change, the more the sales stagnated or reversed.
Still beating that dead horse I see....
Back when I bought both my 2010 and 2012 I liked the looks of the V6 better than the SS models. On the 2014's I like the looks of the SS models better....

I reeeeally didn't like them either when I first saw them. Now I dont know what ibwas thinking. A million times better than 4 rear lights with two bumper lights that were so out of place. I just wish the front end of the ZL1 got the refresh as well.

I wanted get some clarification on these production numbers if I could.

My VIN# 2G1FC1E39E9322068 with build date: 6/8/2014

I have a 2014 Black Camaro 2LT RS with black leather and navigation. That produciton number is 13,272, according to the OP. If grand total of 14 Camaros was 97,632, then with my VIN, then why is my last 6 digits 322068?

Does this mean that mine was the 322,068 Camaro made really???

I wonder if someone can please help explain this to this newb cause Im really confused now.

So..after looking at that link it says that the sequence #...."Consecutive 6 digit number, number starting with each new model year with 100001".

Correct me or not, but the 100001 is larger than 97632??...So if they start with the 100001 number how do they come to end with 97632...that is what does not make any sense to me.

Thank you in advance for anyone that can please explain this to me.

So, It appears that you really cant correlate the sequence # with the amount of cars made then, cause from what you are saying that all Chevy vehicles are made along with the Camaro on the exact assembly line.

So If I really want to look at my cars production....it really should be 1 out of 13,272 made with my combination then...right??
