The new spoiler will be a great look I think. Black with some carbon fiber is what I would've done also, plus this one will be unique. It will re-emphasize the carbon on the hood, helping it stand out I think. I also think black with carbon looks good, in a stealthy high end supercar kinda way. As for looking like a 1LE, like you said, they look great too. And if someone can't tell its a ZL1, their loss, (see what I did there?), lol. Looks very racy, has that badass track day car look. Not a big Nickey car fan, but this is the nicest Crystal red ZL1 I've seen. Not a color for me, very impressed with this one. Some tinted tail lights and carbon fiber bezels would look sweet too, and/or some black vinyl in the tail light area to bring some black out back. Just my opinion, again, great looking car, enjoy!

Oh ya, the Oracle tinted L.E.D. reverse lights would be a nice subtle touch of black as well. Just installed them, looks great and super bright.

I would love to lie to make you feel good, but I wouldn't be much of a friend. I don't like it at all. I think the flat black looks cheap, and it is a downgrade from all the other nice stuff you have. The Flat black seems way out of place to me.

![]() I have to go carefully with this kind of look or it could go south real fast but thank you for the comments. ![]() Yeah that's cool. If you like Kooks and rumbling modified LSA's you'll at least dig the way this Z will scream. |

How mundane things would be if all of our ZL1s, motorcycles, guitars and girlfriends all looked and sounded the same.........!
I like the old Skool-vibe and would not be surprised to see others copy it, soon enough. |

I think it looks good. The main thing for you is that this mod makes it yours! In a world of same interior limited color ZL1s.

Looks Badass I was thinking of doing the same thing with mine. You might have helped me make up my mind. I'm either doing a flat black hood or flat xpel paint protection to make it a matte crystal red tintcoat.

I'd put the ZL-1 badges back on the hood.
Nice car.

That's what it's all about fellas. There will always be people who will hate on whatever you do. Flat black hoods have been on muscle cars since before I was born so given the circumstances the hood is a nod to the past. Break the mold a little bit and drift away from the norm.
Here is my car with the new functional spoiler and maybe give you guys an idea of the overall look of the ride. ![]() ![]() The spoiler is carbon fiber made by Pete at Showstoppers. ![]()
