I'm 43. Please explain to me how anything I posted would be considered immature. By all means, enlighten me!

LOL at anyone who would take a Camaro SS with a handling package over a Hellcat.

Oh, and please turn in your man card at the desk over there...

Stock for stock i would agree

but you cant up the boost or add a cam to the Hellcat without at least an aftermarket ecu. And then you probably lose all those cool little programmable gadgets on that overstuffed touch screen

IMO - Dodge screwed themselves on that little deal. Which is odd because this is the company that not only sold the SRT4 neon - but then gave you 3 upgrade options that the dealer could install for more power!!!!!!!!!!!

Then throw in the crappy dealership experience and everyone trying to gouge you to buy one and well the Hellcat loses a lot of luster with me.

A cam and a whipple/procharger/ecs etc can make upwards of 700whp and weigh at least 500lbs lighter. Warranty be damned and that hellcat isnt catching a modded SS

Just like the ZR1, Hellcat is engineered for that power level. During the press release, they pushed those cars both at the drag strip with back to back launches, and even at the road course, and none of them overheated or broke down. I hit 290 degrees oil temp with my 1LE bone stock, so I can't even imagine the issues I would run into with the supercharger kit slapped on it.

Again, I don't think this car is best for road course anyway, but at the street, I think it would be bullet-proof. I have changed my mind about one-car-for-all-purposes idea long time ago. It just doesn't work. Once you get over that, you do realize that Hellcat is an amazing deal for the street, and you can get a Miata for the track, which would ultimately be more fun at the track anyway.

LOL at any man who would take power over handling. Putting your foot down is something my grandmother can do. Balancing a car on the limit of adhesion and steering it with the throttle is something very few can do well.

You can hand your man card to my grandmother. I'm keeping mine.

Very well said. It's extremely difficult to compare these cars. Cost, looks, power, bragging rights... It's completely different. If I wanted to be able to say I had the best car for the street, track, show, kids, road trip, towing, camping, snow, off roading, work... Well, I'd have at least a dozen cars. For me, I did the tuner seen when I was young, now I'm in the muscle car realm. Eventually, I want to be in the supercar world. All worlds are different and it makes perfect sense that this thread would create arguments because everyone loves their car. 1LE vs. GT with the track pack. There's your comparison. That's why you read and see videos on it everywhere. They are in the same 'world' of cars. The hellcat is engineered to be bulletproof because it had to be with that power. I predict some with very high mileage still running strong from top to bottom.

I would. And actually do.

I'm well off enough to buy any car I want. From ZL1 to Ferrari, from Hellcat to Porsche ... Still I drive a 2013 1LE.

And damn, I enjoy it! I'll prolly never get rid of that car.

I won't even argue why it is or it is not a better car, better handling, HP, speed, fun or anything ...

I'd get a 1LE anytime over the Hellcat because the 1LE is the perfect car for me, for what I want to do with it.

So "LOL"? Nice! you can laugh, and I actually hope you will enjoy that time as much as I enjoy driving my "430HP-only" 1LE

I would take a 1LE based strictly on looks over a hellcat ( IMO ) any day hp or not. With that being said I will agree with ya there is way more skill needed on a road course and I prefer a drag car.

I have a twin turbo 1LE along with other major upgrades. Anyone want to trade me their Charger or Challenger Hellcat?

I'll take that deal in a minute. And I promise not to sell the Hellcat for at least 2 years.
