The fact that you even asked that question makes me question your ability to complete college even if you start.

I was a 30 year old college freshman...don't be that guy.

Got to School. YOu won't believe the opportunities that will open up for you. You'll earn your way to a Camaro and so much more and a lot sooner than you think. Don't let a Camaro at 22 be the high point of your life.

If you can just pay it off full and it just puts school back ONE YEAR then I dont see why that would hurt. The world is going to end 2012....as long as you get one by then youll be ok. And with the way things are going we wont have cars like this in a few years.

Seriously man im 21(22 in a few days) and im buying a 2SS.....you nly ive once. You have people that want tings like this when theyre older and people that want this when theyre young like me. Call me stupid dumb...i dont care. I have a well paying full time job, im a musician, Fighter, and a personal trainer. If i wanted to have a desk job i would. Enjoy life while you can man...you never know when it will come to a end.

You arent promised to be here tomorrow..if it will only put you back a year then go for it. You only live once and youll still be able to go to school.

Im getting mine but im putting down 28k....call me stupid alright ill be a stupid happy camaro owner yaaay.

This is coming from someone in the same place youre in basically. Get it man and enjoy.

Take it from me....go to school.

I'm 19, and I was dying for the Camaro. So many people told me it wasn't a good idea and to focus on college. The more people told me not to get it, the more I wanted it. I took delivery of my car on August 12th.

Cut to a month and a half later, I am now trading my Camaro in because school has made me cut back at work, so I can't pay for it. I'm going tonight to trade it in, and I'm getting a Honda Civic, which will save me over $100 a month on my car payment, as well as a ton on gas.

Trust me, I've been there. Nobody says you have to drive a piece of shit. Get a decent car that's not too expensive, and get a Camaro when you graduate. That's my plan and I'm sticking to it. I'm going to school for Pharmacy, so hopefully that works out and I can buy whatever car I want after I graduate.

Challenge yourself, you won't regret it like me. That doesn't mean get as many advanced degrees as humanly possible. It means sit down and think truly and honestly where you want to be in 5 and 10 years and ask yourself if you can do that by putting off your goals by even one year. But trust me if you pay cash for the car this year, You'll be putting off school for more than a year.

Also, if this is any incentive. Living by myself I saved enough cash to pay for a top of the line 3 series BMW in 1 year. I could've done that, but instead I thought of what I'd be losing if I spent my money on a car.... In my case I wouldn't be able to put enough money down on the house I wanted. So I chose the bigger picture. Now I have a garage, and plenty of room for a dog and kids (eventually) and I am only putting of my car purchase by a year and a half.

here's a story my mom told me she made all A's in high school then went to college she bought a new truck at the time... she was in college and had to get a full time job so she never finished college so in the end i would say go to school first so you can make more mnoey in the end and instead of maybe struggling with the payments you can have a camaro and a corvette and a house... just my .2 cents but i am not you

a lot of people here are just speaking from experience. im only 28 but when i look back on some of the things i thought were a good idea at 21, i should have been kicking myself in the ass. im an engineer, and don't get me wrong, i live good now. but things could have been better a lot sooner if i hadn't made boneheaded financial decisions living in the moment. enjoy life but also plan for your future too.

Let's re-phrase question on what it really should read:

Should I get a car and look cool, or should I get an education so I don't have to flip burgers at McDonalds?
