The Camaro LTA is powered by a LS based 655 horsepower Lingenfelter 455 CID engine, Corsa exhaust, custom honeycomb wheels & Nitto tires.

Possible plans are to offer these for sale in the future as a production vehicle if we get enough positive response.

This is neat for those with a very sentimental spot in their hearts for Firebirds and Trans Ams......

For the real world, even if GM didn't shut down the Pontiac division they would still NOT build a Pontiac version of the Camaro. Not enough demand for two of the same car in today's automotive market place. Badge engineering is part of what got GM into trouble in the first place (and while the F-bodies started off as different as rice and peppers, by the time the last F-body rolled off the line in 2002 they were the same car with different fins, bling, and badges.)

Those of you who love this idea of transforming a Camaro into a wannabe 1969 Firebird TA, have at it. It's going to cost over $50k, and I'm sorry, for that price you can buy much more exotic and higher class cars than a modified Chevy Camaro.

All a matter of taste. Everyone entitled to their own views
In my view it is horrible and I dont know why other than just looking different - anyone would want to spend many thousands of $ on this.

It seems like a waste of a great Camaro body, I prefer the Bandit style Trans-Am but Year-One already did a remake of it and it's absolutely amazing. Lingenfelter is a great company but lost the since of the average car guy. There parts & service are very over-priced and over-rated.

Are we still playin with this idea?.. Every thread I've seen on a Bird conversion has been decisively against it...

Why the early 2nd Gen. front and rear on a car that resembles a 1st Gen. F-Body? They made a little over 600 '69 T/A's so I think this should have quad headlights, dual racing stripes and the high rear spoiler. Just my two cents.

Apparently this one's different. As you see I dont own a Camaro but if that TA was built and a reasonable price I would'nt hesitate.

Revo1, here's a site with quite a few hard core Pontiac fans and I don't see anywhere in there that they are "decisively against it". It appears to me that the concensus is that if LPE built this (IMO) bada$$ machine, they will come.

http://www.mifbody.com/vbulletin/sho...d.php?p=501959

...My 2 cents

Nice looking car. I'm sure it'll haul ass. But I can't get past it being a bastardized 2010 Camaro that looks exactly like a 1969 one; that is now a Trans-Am. Kinda like a stepchild with no parents. I can't fathom customizing something I love in to another brand of car. And I loved Trans-Ams; who didn't want one when they were a kid? If I had money to burn, it would be a nice addition to the other 20 cars I would have- but I don't have that kind of cash to toss around.

Love the nostalgic look though. I think thats why we all bought the new Camaro and like the Challenger's look.
