Ok I don't know either what that referred to, I've just never used that before

The search function works better in google, so I go to google and search for info that is here.

Some people don't agree but why ask "how do I know if my mag shocks are bad" when there are great threads with pics on them already.

How about the threads where people have already formed an opinion then ask for opinions but won't accept them Why ask? Go buy the other car

I was going to post how much I enjoyed the WOT sounds and hp driving my ZL1 yesterday but didn't want to offend Gringo again.

I just come here now because if I click on any adds apparently the girls will make the first move LMAO. These ads are making me sad! Not the Forum as a whole.

Forums slow down with time but dead, nah I still come here almost everyday.
Heck I still belong to forums for my sons 2004 Grand AM GT. So if they can stay active all these years I'm sure we can too.
I am not and will never be a part of facebook so that is out for me. So all I have is you guys
The search function isn't that bad. I find a lot of info using it still.
A pet peeve of mine though is everyone posts everything under the sun in the general forums instead of taking the second to post in the correct forum.
That just bugs me, but this isn't the olny place that does that.
I do agree with one point that was made though. There are a lot of "clicks" on here and if you are not part of one your posts go basically unread or ignored. That I wish would change but probably never will either.
All in All its still a great place and I will be back almost every day!

If all you have is us, rock bottom is right around the corner my friend. LOL

I get the correct forum part and I stay conscientious of where I place my posts but I must admit...I seldom notice where others start thier threads.

:bonk :

There have been people so guilty of this I simply made their thread disappear forever.... you tell them nicely, several times.... tell them not so nicely.... and then give them a written warning.... No good... We can ban them for this but I have more fun just making threads disappear.... or put them in some weird obscure location... with a short lasting link, maybe an hour.... maybe a day if I'm feeling generous... We recognize names when you deal with the same ones over and over as you folks recognize each other.... I'll move or delete every thread someone like this makes until they gain a clue or stop coming in here.... If its someone I know is doing it on purpose to be a butt, I'll just delete the person for 10 days or more....

Out of curiosity, what kind of warning other than written can you dispense? I’m a little frightened by that.

The following are my ways of handling situations... This is not universal.... Rule 13 of the rules of posting....

There's a public warning, the PM warning and the official warning... Technically all of them are written but two are less formal....

The public warning is usually for me a suitable comment related to the thread... and then I'll move the thread to the proper location and mention that part in the comment as well.

The second warning, the pm is a courteous comment to the person with direction to consider where they post threads....

The last one is a formal warning infraction with what they did wrong and potential future infraction penalties....

These are all specific to and determined by the individual moderator.... We do support each others decisions...

Further penalties are bans for predetermined days or days decided by the moderator... or a potential permanent-ban.....

Since multiple accounts are not permitted, we can usually count on trouble makers to start a new account within a few days, often within hours.... We will usually find these within hours or days as well.... It all depends on the individual.... Some are savvy and hang around with a second account for quite a while... Others, I've banned a few, with a note in their signature comments about why they were banned before they receive their email notification.

I moved one the other day literally three days ago, and sent the guy a pm.... He fired a nasty pm back to me asking why I didn't edit out the bad parts and save the thread.... There are roughly 200,000 members on three sites and 15 of us.... I'm not editing anyones post that cant read the rules and follow them... well not someone with all of "1" post....I fired back and copied the site owner and another moderator... His leash is very short, like I have a hand on the collar....

If a member I know is pushing buttons I might edit out forbidden parts and mention it, or laugh and they laugh with me.... Or... go to the above if needed.... Most times, they realize I'm just another guy trying to keep the size friendly and user compatible....

First and foremost, I'm a Camaro owner and enthusiast... I joined this site just like everyone else.... Very early on, I even had a thread that devolved a bit and it was locked... I think it's still on here.... so after about two years, I was contacted by another moderator via personal phone and asked if I would be willing to assist in moderating the site, so here I am.... but I'm still an enthusiast and owner operator of a Camaro...
