No way... If I had a choice it would be the concept. Very few people stared at the Vette ZR1 when it was next to the concept.. In fact, I would say 99% of the pictures taken were aimed at the Camaro.. The concept was and still is something of beauty unlike anything created on four wheels. I hope the production (and from the looks of the milford video's) looks to be as much a looker as the concept.

I voted for the production model. Yes, there are some very slight differences between concept and production. I really preferred the shorter roof of the concept, because it makes the grill look shorter and wider....and more menacing. However, the concept's mirrors never did much for me. The exhaust on the concept also looked a little cheap. I've never liked chrome though. The new rear end is okay with me, but I can see why people really prefer the concept's smooth, clean rear fascia. The gas cap on top is something I will miss, but the production's filler door is smooth, without that goofy "bump" found on some other cars for opening. The headlights look great on the production model, but I will wait until I see the DRL halo's before I can honestly say which is better. The interior of the production model is much better than the concepts. A lot of what we saw there was just flash (chrome on the seats), but the production model's LCD screen and layout are better in my opinion.
I will say that I really preferred the first pre-production grill that we saw. The one with three horizontal bars instead of two. Will that grill be making a comeback someday? I hope so. The things that changed HAD to change, for safety. That includes raising the roof, moving the backup lights higher, larger side-view mirrors, making the marker lights larger and more visible, and widening the rear of the cockpit for back seat passenger headroom. I'm sure the gas filler being on top of the car probably also posed a concern, but I'm not sure about that one. |

Having a look on those two cars, shot from almost the same angle, and looking at the Yellow Camaro's rear photo on a previous thread and how wide it looks, I have to agree that the Production is an identical car with the Concept, which I too fell for.
Sure the back bumper of the Concept looks better than the Production one, but then again after 6+ months the Camaro goes live wouldn't you agree that there will be plenty of aftermarket products to make the Production Camaro look even better than the Concept one? After all, it 's just a frigin bumper, those things change. The only thing I want from my future SS will be to come with some huge rims pre-installed, and I hope the 21"s Chevy will offer will be of the same looks like Bumblebee's. Thumbs up for Production then. Minor changes between the cars doesn't change the fact how close the Production looks to the imba Concept.
