With the top down in my vert the passenger seatbelt knocks with the wind....drove me nuts till I figured out what it was and moved the buckle rest on the front of the seat.

So, is it normal or not? If it's normal then I will forget about it and not waste my time or the dealer's time.

I hear it all the time...First time I heard it I thought the neighbors cat was up under there.

if you hear it when pulling away from a stop sign/light, it could be missing thrust assures. "click, click, click" from the rear of the car. if you hear it at full stop, its something else. the high pressure fuel pump makes a clicking/ticking sound at idle. you notice it most while in a drive-thru or near a wall.

Fuel vent solenoid opening and closing. Nothing to worry about. AND stop making trunk monkey jokes. It brings up bad memories. I lost my trunk monkey. Didn't know he was back there (didn't read my manual) and therefore didn't feed the poor thing and he died. Realized my mistake only when that new car smell was replaced with dead monkey smell.

Mine does the exact same thing. It's always 5 taps or clicks and it comes from the rear of the car. The rhythm of the taps are always the same, and exactly like somebody is knocking to get your attention or perhaps a door knock. The first time I heard it, I thought somebody was behind my car and tapping on it with their fingernails.

I'm glad I finally decided to try and look this up, and glad all of you reported it here.
