Former Navy AM1 (AW) HH-60 Seahawk airframes guy here. For non Nav people, AM1 means I was an E-6. 10yrs, 10mo, and 26 days active duty. Got out in December of 08. I'm now a government contractor flying Scan Eagle UAV's in direct support of ground operations in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Leaving for Afghanistan next week. Will be gone six months.

Possible reservist by the end of this year.

Well, I'm dying to chime in here and be a part of all you active duty folk! So many Airmen in the poll, tied for the lead with retirees! I'm in the DEP (Delayed Enlistment Program) waiting for the recruiter to give me that magical call and ship my ass out to Lackland for BMT. I can't WAIT to go!
